You can read the material (booklet) in one day and pass the test, and you can do practice tests online. All of the questions that I got during my actual test were in the practice tests. Good luck everyone!

I’m sure may nagkwento na before me, pero just in case tamad kayo magbackread lol -

Part 1 - Interview: all the officer did was to ask for my birth certificate, passport and drivers licence, scan them, return them back to me, mention the wait period for pledge ceremony which is 6 months from date your application gets approved and then he told me to make my way to the test room after giving me a piece of paper with my name on it that I need to give to the proctor.

Part 2: Test Proper: The proctor asked me to put my belongings in a locker, and gave me a piece of paper with information about the pledge, wait times etc. He then asked for my passport, looked me up in the system and then walked me to one of the computers.

Test was multiple choice (3 choices). You can skip questions but tbh you don’t have to coz the questions are not difficult (but I acknowledge that difficulty is relative) as long as you read the booklet where the questions will be based on.

28 March 2018 Submittted online application
05 February 2019 Received test schedule email (test date March 5)
20 February 2019 Sat the test (was able to get an earlier test date)
11 March 2019 Application status in Immi account was changed to “Approved”. No emails. Received a letter in the mail that week saying my application was approved and that I need to wait for the pledge ceremony schedule notification.

Hi guys,

I've just received my test schedule for citizenship just now
It took me almost 1 year to recieve the test schedule.
This is my timeline:

15 April 2018 - Online application thru immi account (Brisbane Council)
20 March 2019 - Recieved my test schedule (Test date: 18 April 2019)

5 March 2019 - invited
20 March 2019, morning - test

@LakiMasel wala pa din ako natanggap na letter from immi. Ung sa online immi naman hindi ko pa nacheck ilang araw na, kaka-depressed kpag nasa received pa din ang status. Sayo may balita kana?

Nakakainip. 2-weeks to 2 months. Palagay ko may balita na sayo by end of the month.

We are now based in Regional QLD, Toowoomba to be exact around 2 hours drive from Brisbane. Here is our timeline. Application lodge 30 Jul 2018 via Immi Account. Last week of Jan 2019, we got exam invitation, and took our exam on 20 Feb 2019. March 15, 2019 our Citizenship application was approved. Now waiting for Ceremony letter.

Received test exam apppointment March 18 2019
April 2 2019 140pm scheduled interview and exam . Passed 100% madali lang basta nagpractice. No major questions on the interview. The officer give a hint expect the letter in the next few days.
April 2 same day when I got home 4PM my online status now from received to approved.

April 3 2019 approved online status.
Next ceremony is on May and then July. Hopefully mainvite Logan council kami last oath taking only 70+ nag oath while brisbane council had 562 . Sana mabilis mashort list for pledge.

Approval Letter should arrive within 2 weeks after your application is approved. Some applications were approved on the day/few days after the test, some took months. You will not received an email notification that your application has been approved, you have to check it and the letter(from Canberra) will arrive soon. Ceremony will depend on your council sked. It will depend on when DHA will forward your name to your council for the oathtaking. Some councils will require a lead time of at least 4 weeks prior to ceremony otherwise you will be scheduled for the next available ceremony. You will receive an invitation letter from your council about the ceremony.
