    @vhoythoy hindi sya kasing probinsya na naiisip ko.. madaming shops around the area, madaming parks and playgrounds, madaming puno.. Goldcoast is just one train ride away sa pinakamalapit na train station sa bahay namin which is around 10 minutes walk. :) we love it here. :)

    as for the CBD, one train or bus ride away din sya sa bahay. around 15 minutes. mabuilding pero ma-park. may manmade beach.. hindi congested.. kung ano yung nasa google, ganung ganun din. haha..

    @Umbenieyon, naexcite naman ako sa balita mo bout Brissy. Chemist din ako at dito pa SG. Waiting ako sa SS approval ko. Just paid the app fee yesterday. Kumusta po ang work? Madali bang makahanap ng work dyan? Hopefully, mainvite na ako this week para di ako maabutan ng changes sa July.

    @princessmom dumating kami ditto ng May 11, first day ko sa work ng May 21. Akala ko mahirap maghanap ng work dito kaya entry level muna inapply-an ko. as in Lab Tech. Nagulat ako na after interview and all, senior analyst ang binigay na position sakin. full time, permanent pa. Halos sabay kami nag start ng work ni hubbby. fulltime, permanent din agad ang nagging work nya dito. Madami ng manuf companies dito, si hubby sa food manuf sya, so madaming labs na pede pag apply-an as QA. ako kasi, inspection and certication company ako. :) good luck sayo, prayers work wonders talaga!

    san po kau nagstay... i'll be staying in exford st brisbane city... naswertehan lang din po nakahanap agad ng permanent work... mostly nag offer talaga saken is brisbane... booming yata economy nla unlike how it is in melbourne and sydney... sana may parang group tau like the pinoyau sydney para d naman maxado ma-homesick... looking forward to meeting you guys.

    hello po... papatulong na rin po sana ako... naghahanap ako ng room for rent in CBD area... pwedeng studio at pwede rin po ako flatshare... mas gusto ko po sana may mga kasama pinoy... baka may ma-recommend naman po kau or may kakilala na nagpaparent... i'll be moving there first week of july kac sa july 14 na start ko sa work... sana may makatulong..

    @princessmom Pinas pa lang, nag apply na ko. Had a couple of interviews via phone doon. tas nung malapit na malapit na ko umalis, nagset na sila ng schedule for "facility tour" and face-to-face interview. May 11 ako dumating tas May 13 nila ko pinapunta sa office. Tas yun. When I went there, interview interview, after two days, job offer na. Akala ko super hirap maghanap ng work ditto kaya entry level post inapply-an ko pero nagulat na lang ako, senior level binigay sakin dahil daw sa work experiences ko with multi-national companies sa Pinas. I started working May 21.

    Not so good news, mahirap ditto pagwala kang kotse. not unless walking distance work mo.. yung 30 minutes drive, 2 hours pag public transport. di pa kasama doon pag naiwan ka ng train / bus. kasi buong trip sched mo, apektado. kaya ako, nagbaon talaga ko ng pambili ng kotse. second hand lang. $3K, may kotse ka na. pero mahirap kasi opposite side yung driving.. ka-stress. haha! so bottomline, magbaon ng madami kasi di mo talaga alam mangyayari ditto... yung iba, months bago magka-work..

    June 8,2014: Hubby arrived in Sydney
    Sept 11,2014: Hubby's first day of work. Thank you Lord!
    Feb 7, 2015 : Baby and I arrived in Sydney
    April 13, 2015: My first day of work :)

    @cchamyl. Ah ok. Umm pag mejo tumagal kana sa brissy pakecompare it naman with melby. We are looking at sydney,melbourne or brisbane kc eh
    ok po... no probs... wala yata maxado taga brissy sa forum na to... hahaha... pero sabi nung boss ko dito sa current work ko.. she would live in brisbane if she wasnt from melbourne.. brisbane has the same vibe as melbourne daw.. although it is smaller... and lots of things to do... one hour train ride lang to gold coast and sunshine coast... unlike here in melbourne... nothing much to see.. very outdoorsy ang queensland... here in melbourne... the city has a lot of things to offer like clubs and pubs... and restos... but they say it's the same with brissy... will let u know once i move there...

    the only thing i hate with melbourne is its schizophrenic weather... grrr... sorry... just ranting... just got to work wet because it was raining... sabayan mo pa ng freezing temp and strong 'liliparin ka' winds...

    Hello Brissy peeps, Kumusta kayo dyan? Papunta akong Brisbane next Sunday, pinadala ng company. I will be staying in Oaks Aurora tower for a week. Meron po ba kayong masuggest na pwede pasyalan after office hour? Gusto ko sana makapunta sa Gold coast kaso babalik din agad ako ng Perth ng Friday evening so talagang after work lang talaga ako makakagala dyan. Maraming salamat sa inyo.
