    @aldousnow a friend of mine told me to setup a cash management account when I get there..parang automatic yung deposit, at payment of bills...is that the same as the 'everyday account' you were mentioning?

    if i may reply... based sa nbasa ko.. you dont need to take test if you have a vaild US license... pwede pa yata even if its expired for less than 12 months..

    I'm not sure about dun sa 'everyday account' sila @johnandjosh ata nag mention about dun. yung sakin is yung UBank. bale sinetup ko na every sahod ko e automatic kinakaltas na nya from my payroll account a specific amount papunta sa UBank savings ko.

    @LokiJr automatic pumapasok yung salary ko sa everyday account ko. Pwede mo ring i-set up na yung automatic transfer or auto debit sa ibang account. Halos di mo na kailangang mag-cash out dahil most of the establishments dito e card (EFTPOS or credit/debit card).

    yup. walang setup. tsaka alam ko mas mataas pa nga interest kapag sinetup yun.
    Automatic Savings Plan yung tawag sa UBank nung service na yun.
    Just to share din, yung 1K AUD ko na nilagay. in two months time, naging 1,013AUD na. so in two months nag interest na kagad ng 13AUD. :) not bad.

    no worries.. here is the related information from the department of transport (WA).. I would assume the same rule applies to other states:

    If you hold a driver's licence from a ‘recognised country’ and the licence has not expired by more than 12 months, when applying for a WA licence:
    - You are exempt from taking the computerised theory test on the road rules
    - You may be exempt from the requirement to undertake a practical driving assessment.

    I heard NAB is very quick with their account opening procedures... Tama si boss @metaform, a friend of mine got a response the following day after he opened an offshore account.

    Yes I applied online for classic account with iSaver. May NAB account numbers na ako ngayon in which I can transfer my money, pero pagdating ko doon saka lang sya maactivate. Walang pwedeng movement yung pera hanggat wala pa doon yung customer to avoid money laundering. Wala naman akong ganung kalaking money para i-launder!

    I had a bad experience with NAB. I've opened an account with them from here in PH about a week ago but did not heard from them, no email confirmation etc. Kaya nag open na lang ko sa WestPac, and in less than 24 hours, I've received my account number and I was able to transfer some funds from BPI to them. Tapos after a day, tumawag sila via mobile and explained some stuffs about banking with them, though hindi ko masyado naintindihan gara kasi ng accent ni banker. :D

    Kaka-apply lang din namin last week sa NAB and the following day may response na sila agad with our account number and swift code and then yung banker pa mismo nag-follow up samin this morning kelan ang schedule ng meeting namin with her. :)

    @annie23, within 2 weeks talaga ang response time ng NAB. So if last week ka lang nag-open baka this week magreply na sila sayo.
