NBI Clearance Online Application

Hi Guys!

NBI has an online facility already for those who need to apply for an NBI clearance. I'm not sure if this is just new but I would like to know if anyone here who has already experienced using it and how was it? Mabilis na ba ngayon? Kapag nagpa-appointment ba ang makukuha mong schedule is kung ano na lang yung available, which is possibly more than a month pa?

Similar na sya sa passport application/renewal ng DFA wherein you will fill-out an application form and book your appointment online. Pero nung kasi nagpa-appointment ako, after 2 or 3 months pa yung nakuha kong available schedule. Ang tagal di ba? Tas kahit may appointment na ko nun, pumila pa din ako for 2 or 3 hours sa DFA. Parang walang pinagbago sa old system nila nun.

I'm not sure if ganito yung sa new system ng NBI. I bet some of you knows of the horror stories in obtaining an NBI clearance dito sa Manila since nawala yung mga kiosks nila sa malls. I just hope with their online facility, mas mabilis and hassle-free ang pagkuha.

Please let us know your experiences. :)

May kasama pa ako baby. Hopefully meron priority lane. Will share my experience after tomorrow.

Hi @Bryann! Nagpa-renew ako ng passport last year pa yun, around June. I think that time bago pa lang online system nila kaya matagal pa din ang processing. I just hope mabilis din sa NBI.

God bless sa IELTS mo on Jan. 7. Same kayo ng husband ko ng nominated occupation, SE and he is the principal applicant. :)

Yun online NBI application nag-start sya ng Dec. 1, 2011. Binasa ko yun steps, mag-schedule ka lang just like sa passport appointment. And then ang convenient mode of payment is using Globe G-Cash. The other option is pumunta sa NBI and magbayad dun.

Kelan nyo balak kumuha? Like @Bryann said, you have an option if pa-appointment ka online (new system) or punta na agad in any of NBI's office. Di ko sure if meron pa din mga tumatagal na more than 2 months before nila makuha clearance.

So did you pay for it na? And kelan ang schedule mo?

Question lang for all forumers and sa mga mapapadaan sa thread na to. 175 visa applicant kami ng husband ko and we lodged our application last June 26, 2011. Currently, ang allocated na ngayon is April 2011 applicants and meron na din ako mga nabasa sa ibang forums na May and June applicants na may CO na. So we're expecting anytime soon may CO na din kami. But do you think ok ba na mag-apply na kami ng NBI clearance kahit wala pa kaming CO?

    Hi JClem,

Ok lang kuha na ahead ng clearance. 1 year validity naman yun.

Tapos share ko lang din, 2 kasi generic na tatak ng NBI Clearance dati - for local employment at for travel abroad. E yung requirement ng DIAC e dapat for AU immigration.

    Regards,

Hi @Bryann and @Saken, thanks sa replies nyo. Sige, balitaan ko kayo kapag nakakuha na kami and the experience. I think appropriate yung Visa AU. :)

@Bryann, 10 days ata if may hit yung name mo or may kapangalan ka. Mas matagal kapag yung pangalan mo is may criminal record. At wala naman sana. Hehe! Kasi kapag wala, within the day daw makukuha mo na yung print-out ng clearance mo. :)

Ah ganun pala, mabilis lang. Wala naman hit sa akin. Hehe thank God. Pero problem yata is kapag kumuha ka agad ng NBI Clearance, may effect yata sa date ng initial entry ng visa mo right? Ako kasi mas gusto ko more time before mag-expire yun visa for initial entry ng family ko, para madami time mag-ayos ng mga bagay-bagay dito sa Pinas.

About sa passport, nakakuha na kami ng wife ko and baby kahapon. Sobra mabilis, madali and convenient na ngayon ang processing through appointment. Took us less than an hour, tapos uwi na kami. :) Naging problem lang is naka-flat sandals wife ko so bumili pa kami sa paligid. Buti un isa nag-pho-photocopy sa loob ng DFA nagtitinda for Php75. Hahaha!

2nd Step: Checking of application, and requirements (1st floor ng bldg)
    * Payment at Cashier (2nd floor na)
3rd Step: Encoding for the passport. Panoodin nyo habang ine-encode to make sure na hindi magkakamali sa name and address nyo. After encoding, picture taking na.
4th Step: (Optional) Passport Delivery (Php 120)

Comfortable kasi dami upuan, and then malamig yun place. Tapos madami staff ang DFA to accomodate you per process. Naiipon lang naman sa 3rd Step.

Express processing: Php 1,200 (10 days)
Regular processing: Php 950 (25 days)

Tingin ko pwede makatulong yung di muna pagkuha ng NBI Clearance pero from experience and from what I read from a comment of a Migration Agent, yung basehan ng First Entry Date is yung expiration ng medical ng applicant.

Kung di ka pa nagpapamedical, oks lang kasi malamang 1 year after nung medical results mo yung Initial Entry Date.

Sa online lodgement kasi (from my experience), pagkalodge e humihingi na agad ng medical. So ginawa ko na agad at yun nga, 6 mos lang pagitan ng VISA approval at ng Initial Entry Date namin which is within in pa sa period ng validity nung medical namin.

That was great! :) Mabilis na talaga ngayon ang DFA. Unlike nung time na nagpa-renew ako matagal dahil kasi siguro new system pa lang nun. Meron pa nga ata naka-sleeveless pero her picture was still taken. Pero ako nun naka-polo blouse para sure. :)

Hi @Saken! :)

And regarding, initial entry date naman. Usually, ang nababasa ko sa ibang forumers is that the basis of a visa holder's initial entry date is kung ano yung unang mag-eexpire, either NBI or medical. Example, if your NBI expires on Jan. 30, 2012 and your medical will expire on Mar. 30, 2012, ang bibigay ni CO na initial entry date is date before Jan. 30, 2012, which is the expiration date of your NBI. Pero if mauuna mag-expire medical mo, ang initial entry date mo is date before mag-expire medical mo.

    Hi @JClem,

    175. Di naman may CO agad. Bale 1 month after ko maglodge may natanggap akong email from DIAC na ganito:

I am writing to advise that your application will soon be allocated to a case officer for assessment.
Your application has been determined as Priority Group 3. The Department anticipates that your application will be allocated to a case officer for assessment within three months from the date of this letter. Applications that are complete are likely to be finalised more quickly.
All members of your family unit included in your application, can now:

    1. Undertake your health and character clearances if you have not already done so. For instructions on how to do this, see below: Instructions for Health and Character clearances
    2. Complete Form 80: Personal particulars for character assessment (See below: Form 80)
    3. Update the Department on any change to your circumstances since lodgement of your application (if any). For information on how to do this, see below: Change in circumstances
    4. Provide any documents relevant to your application that you have not already provided.

If all of the above are completed prior to your case being allocated, your application may be able to be finalised promptly when first assessed by a case officer.

Health and character clearances have a limited validity period, in most cases 12 months from their date of issue.

It is the validity of these clearances which determines the Initial Entry Date (IED) that is specified as a condition of the grant of a visa. That is, the IED is the date by which an applicant and any dependents included in the application must make an initial entry to Australia, and it is the earliest expiry date of all clearances which is chosen. An IED is also applicable to applicants who are already in Australia on other visas who will be required to depart Australia for the grant of this visa. All clearances must be valid for the grant of a visa.

Also bring birth certificate and old passport if magre-renew. For more info.. check out this site.
