    @aolee hindi naman mahirap.. sa dami ng idea na naisip ko di ako makabuo ng maayos na sentence kaya bura ako ng bura, naubos oras ko kakabura kaya nung malapit na ang time nagsulat na lang ako ng nagsulat ng kung ano maisip ko... pati rashes inatake ako.. :-(

    naku, ako rin need help. dun sa bagong point system, 8 na for full points sa language proficiency... sa 16 na ang exam ko. 13 daw ang speaking. kinakabahan na ako... this is my third take...

    okay naman last time: L-9, R-9, W-7, S-7.5 TBS-8
    pero all bands ata 8 starting july. thanks sa links.. sana makatulong sa akin.
    Payo ko lang sa mga katulad ko takers ulit:
    sa listening, wag ma distract. focus talaga, kasi pag magwander yung utak mo, di na reretain yung napakinggan mo so wala kang maisagot.
    sa Reading, try watching English films and put the subtitle on. for extra challange, play mo in fast forward para try mo maabutan kung mababasa mo yun lahat ng sinabi at kung naintindihan mo.

    di kasi ako nagreview center kaya di ako familiar sa writing and speaking kaya thanks talaga sa links. pag aaralan ko yan.

    tanong po pala, sabi kasi ng nanay ko mababa daw yung writing ko kasi di mabasa ang sulat kamay ko. what do you think? true?

    WOW..a_muse..galing u nman..buti k pa..taas n ng band score mo bkit ayaw u p? ako nga 7 lng tinatarget indi p din mkumpleto e..lol..tlga bang 8 n score ang needed starting July? kala ko pg 7 e may points n din? lalo nman me nwawalan ng hope e.. :-(

    dun sa point system na nakapost dito for july 2011 kasi, di ako aabot ng 65 kung yung all 7 na band lang... kaya ayan, try ko mag 8 sa writing and speaking. focus lang talaga. OMG! habang lumalapit kinakabahan ako... :O

    wow tagal mo na pala. hehe ako naman 3yrs palang IT ako sa isang Shipping company, d pako nakapag paassess kasi nanganak si misis at hindi ko naasikaso ang application. naiisip ko na rin sana na mag apply na lang ng sing citizenship, pero nung nalaman ko na hindi ka pwede magkaron ng property abroad pag magaapply ka ng HDB flat dito e bigla ko naisip na hindi worth tlaga maginvest dito for long term. hehe sana ngabigyan tayo ng pagkakataon makapag migrate don. :) hindi pa naman huli ang lahat, kung para satin para satin :)

    tapos na speaking ko, ambilis. di ko alam ano pinagsasabi ko, may times na napapangiti ko yung interviewer. ok na kaya yun? bahala na... sa sat pa yung ibang parts. sana nga worth 8 yun...:)

    a-muse07 - galing! ang taas ng listening and reading mo, 9 points meaning perfect mo ung dalawang sections. i've read your comments and just wanna ask about your skills assessment sa EA particularly sa career episode and sa summary statement. i'm a bit confused kasi dun sa format nila ng summary statement it says: a brief summary of how u have applied the element and then paragraph in the career episode where the element is addressed. bale ba ung brief summary mo dun, ni-lift mo lang from the career episode or u have to re-phrase the sentence? Civil Engineer aq and i am currently waiting for my IELTS result then hopefully this month makapag submit aq for my skills assessment. In what aspect ka ba kukulangin ng points? which visa subclass u r applying? i think better consider subclass 176. wala namang bayand ung state sponsorship ng victoria. if u like, i can send u the links. sa Maldives aq ngaun nag wowork for over 4 yrs na kaya mag ta try din ng luck sa land down under. i might not be able to get ur reply here kc baka d aq makcatch up, so u can reply to my email ad if ok lang sau : [email protected]

    para_muse07, pareho pala tau nghihintay ng ielts result. anu ba ung topic ng writing nio jan? dito kasi sa Maldives, ung writing q, ung section one, write a letter about a loan that an organization is offering to students. and u r interested to take a loan because u wanna take a part-time course. then ung section two, do u agree or disagree sa topic on hosting international sporting events kc daw magastos and walang masyadong magandang epekto sa host country. i'm just aiming for 7 points, but i reckon i messed up in writing - i just don't know pero nawala din ata sa hulog ung utak q,haha. tas sa speaking naman, the topic i was tasked to discuss is about a tv advertisement. i think i did well. dunno.

    Yes. IELTS is an standardized test. It's a measuring tool, the same way a ruler measures length. If indeed English is a medium of instruction and is used in your workplace, then you might get a band score greater that 7.0. Good luck. :-D

    You have really high scores. Good luck on your latest attempt. May I just ask, where did you take the exam? Are you in the Philippines? Is it with British Council or IDP Australia?

    I took the IELTS exam before, here are my scores:

    L: 9.0
    R: 8.5
    W: 6.5
    S: 7.0

    I felt that my Speaking score was fair enough, I just cannot believe the I amassed a lower score for my Writing. It is given also the both Writing Task 1 and 2 topics were difficult compared to what I have reviewed for. I asked IDP who checked my Writing and it was a Filipino.

    Do you think Filipino examiners are more critical and strict?

    Yes. I heard foreigners are more generous to the examinees. Oh well, try my luck again next time.

    My Speaking examiner was a caucasian. I made a directly wrong answer to one of his question, the content was awful. He laughed at me. HAHA. And I still got 7.

    My Writing tasks were really hard. Task 1 was about Marriage (Table), I really worried about how can I not use "marriage" again and again for the whole task with only few synonyms on my head. I have the same problem with my second task, how can I use the words TV and Refrigerator without repeating the words over again. But I thought, I gave justice to my writing tasks. I even thought that I will get higher score than my Reading sub-test. But to no avail.
