De-Facto Proof and Application Issues

Hi Guys, I just want to start a new thread which is more specific about DE-FACTO partners who applied for skilled-migration visas/partner visas.

Of course with reference to the PDF files listing the proof of relationship requirements, hope we can share specifically the following as additional guide/reference:

1. specific evidences submitted to support genuine relationship
2. issues encountered such as CO questions and request for additional requirements
3. successful application testimonials (including those who were just bf/gf and not living physically but application went successful, live-in partners etc)
4. specific VISA refusal reasons related to de-facto/fiance/partner VISA applications

Thank you so much to all who will generously share their experiences.

@cholle hi Ma'am, naku maraming salamat sa sharings mo malaki matutulong nito as I have roughly 3 mos to prepare all the docs. I will share my defacto evidences later on. Meantime, may mga questions lang po sana ako regarding sa naishare mong defacto evidences nyo:

-----pre-drafted ang stat decs meaning signature na lang ng magpapatunay (friend/family) yung kulang? if ok lang, blangko kasi ako tlga when it comes to contents ng stat decs/affidavit as proof of defacto, ppwede ba ako makahingi ng actual copies? plsssss hehe pra may standing reference lang po ako.

-----.if i may, pede po malaman kung magkano po amount ng joint acct nyo by the time na naglodge kyo? i know this may be confidential pero kahit private mssage na lang po ung sagot dito hehe. may factor po ba if malaki ang amount, and recent lang inopen ung acct namen kasi but most probably 6mos or above na yung acct by the time n mglodge kmi

-----we have domestic travel itineraries since we our relationship started, may copy rin kami nung mga hotel bookings and air tickets PDF file sent by Airline for the trips except for one na friend namen ang nagbook. She only has the email confirmation with both I and my partner's name. ok lang kaya na print copy lang ng email ung maprovide ko for that trip?

-----ito ang wala kami hehe, ppwede pa ba kmi kmuha nito kahit nasa stage na kmi ng pagaayos ng evidences? if kukuha kami, ang worry ko lang is baka walang added factor dahil recent lang at baka isipin na purpose ay ung application lang

"bills and official government mails (tax-related) to our same address. The bills / letters show that they date back to when we claim to have started living together"
-----prob ko dito is karamihan sa evidences nmin ay dated halfway ng isang taon ng ideclare nameng length na living together kmi. di pa naman ksi kmi conscious nun sa pag tatabi ng mga evidence hehe.

"christmas cards from his family addressed to us"
-----just curious, but will never be an option for us, may idea ka po ba kung may mga applicants na nagproduce ng pekeng ganito yet succeeded?

"Yan lang. I think yung strong proofs namin for the relationship were the bank statements, and maybe the official letters and bills to the same address plus the health insurance.

Stat decs / affidavits and photos are considered under social aspect of the relationship, which is just one part. Meron pang financial, household arrangements, etc. May list nito sa Au immi website.
-----nagprovide ren po ba kayo ng financial and household arrangements?

Oh and one more thing: I've read somewhere that you have to be able to establish when exactly you made a life-long commitment. Medyo di ko alam how CO's check this, in our case nilagay lang namin sa stat dec na yung decision to migrate to Au is an offshoot of a discussion of our long term plans together. Others can demonstrate by their engagement, or kung yung iba may kids na strong proof rin yan."

Yup, tingin ko okay na yung print out lang. Actually in our case yung orig na email pa rin ginamit namin, pero just in case nagprint out na rin at nagpa-CTC kung sakaling hingiin.

I think hindi naman ito necessary, nagkataon lang na meron na talaga kami nito even before deciding to apply. Kahit ibang mga joint something, okay rin siguro, like joint membership in clubs, gym, etc. If not, I think bank statements would do.

Kung ano lang yung meron kayo, okay na yan. Bawiin niyo na lang sa stat dec and pictures, pero of course be prepared to explain kung bakit yung petsa ng docs niyo medyo late na. Maiintindihan naman siguro nila na hindi naman talaga agad-agad na nagoopen ng bank account, insurance, sending letters from family, etc kung early stages pa lang ng relationship.

Yung financial, yung joint account lang. Kung walang joint account alam ko yung iba nagpapakita ng bank statement showing transfer of funds between your account and your partner's account. Sa household arrangements parang wala pala ako nito hehe pero I mentioned kasi na magkasama na kami, we have a dog, nameet na namin ang families ng isa't-isa, etc.

Nope, we weren't married and we're not yet married, balak kasi namin sa Au na kapag settled in na tsaka kapag nabawi na namin yung gastos sa immigration. Hehehe

hello po.. magshare lang po ako ng experience ko.. de facto din po ako with 1 child.. I am very surprised na kahit hindi ako nakapag-upload ng any statement (coming from us, friends and landlord), we were able to get he visa grant.. the day kasi na I have received the visa grant, dun pa lang dapat ako magpapanotarized ng mga statement and upload.. anyway, eto lang po yung mga inupload ko as proof of de facto:

1. joint bank statement - 1 yr old pa lang yung back account namin kasi yung una naming bank account ni-close na namin
2. hong kong plane ticket
3. initial rental contract namin - for the 1st year lang kasi meron then for the rest succeeding years sana eh landlord statement sana
4. family book - what I did is to have at least 5-6 pictures per event then nilagay ko sya sa powerpoint then have it saved as PDF file.. examples ng event is the bday of each family member per year since nagstart kau ng de facto, christmas, new year, trips local and international, etc..
