@alnr, Just my opinion, I suggest to use the Duties and Responsibilities related to the skills that you wish to nominate. In my case, I highlighted support and programming tasks and few design activities since I was claiming Analyst Programmer. Since you can draft the letter, select what you need to include that is highly relevant to that nominated skills. Good luck! :)

@katlin924 and onesilvertwo, im thinking of nominating System Administrator (262113) since ito ang present job ko. im a bs compsci graduate so i think pasok ako under ng "skills assessment" sa application type.

    also, regarding SOL 2011
"Skilled Occupation List (SOL) 2011 – Schedule 1 and 2
If you apply for a General Skilled Migration visa on or after 1 July 2011 and you are not nominated by a State or Territory Government, you must nominate an occupation from Schedule 1 of the Skilled Occupation List.

If you apply for a General Skilled Migration visa on or after 1 July 2011 and you are nominated by a State or Territory Government you must nominate an occupation from either Schedule 1 or Schedule 2 of the Skilled Occupation List."

my nominated skill is not included in schedule 1 but on schedule 2 and i don't have any nomination from a state or territory government. does this mean i cannot apply?

    thanks again...

@alnr, yes ACS will determine on which group your qualifications will be suitable... this is defined on the guide from their site http://www.acs.org.au/public/ska/docs/PASAGuidelinesforApplicants_July 2011 v3.0.pdf

Each group has a set of criteria. example, for Group A, you must have a degree (major in ICT) equivalent to AU Standard and you need to have 2 years work experience closely related to the nominated occupation.

For the second part of your query (correct me if I'm wrong mga ka forum), you can still apply via 176 route where you must have a state nomination in able for you to use the occupation that you are claiming that is listed in Schedule 2. If you wish to lodge a 175 visa app, the skills should be listed in Schedule 1.

Don't worry much, you will get it. one step at a time. Good luck!

Hi am just a newbie here, I just wanna ask question about the assessment for Business Analyst for ACS and I'm planning lodge my application. Let me give you my background.

Way back 2005 I had applied for general skilled migrant as an accountant since I finished a degree of accountancy and non-cpa, I have 5 years of experience working as billing analyst that time, so I thought it would really help a lot... but sadly the assessing body CPAA returned my documents since my subjects were not a accredited. Ngayon balak ko ulit magpasa ng application via ACS since am working as Sr specialist in a Telecom co. and I already have 10 yrs experience handling combination accounting and programming job via SQL sybase, and mostly projects, UAT and system enhancement.

now gusto kong magpasa ng docs sa ACS pero under RPL, but my friends told me to have migration agent para mabilis ang pag-process/.

Hi @draven.. ang advantage naman talaga ng migration agent is that they make sure that all your documents are complete and follow you up on things. Unlike if you're doing it alone, dme kang babasahin and sympre andun na din yung worries mo kung okay ba ung na-submit mo or hindi.

If you have the means of hiring a migration agent, go do it.. but if not, you have to work hard to read all the necessary guidelines as well as make sure all the required documents from you are complete.

Hi! Draven, If you wish to assess by ACS choose an ICT job and code in line with your work in ACS. I think since accountancy ang degree mo tingin ko RPL route nga ang pwede sayo and you need to read more of ACS guidelines for you to decide properly.

I would like to make an additonal, with regards to payments of agent, depende yan sa kondisyon ng agent mo pero choose a reputable one.

05/17/11 - ACS favorable result released for my husband's skills assessment nominated job-261311 Analyst Programmer.
    12/10/11 - Hubby IELTS first take at BC result L & R-5.5, W & S-6.0 OBS=6.0 retake!!!
12/30/11- Hubby registered at 9.0 Niners.
03/15/14 - Hubby's comeback at 9.0 Niners preparing for IELTS test. Second attempt for Australian visa.
05/12/14 - Complete uploading of ACS skills assessment required documents and payment made thru direct deposit.
05/12/14 - ACS assessment application received.
07/02/14 - ACS skills assessment result suitable ANZCO code 262113 Systems Administrator as recommended by CO for hubby's job description rather than ANZCO 261311 Analyst Programmer the first ACS ANZCO result suitable released in 2011. I conclude ACS reclassifies ICT Occupations.
    - Work exp. 12yrs. less 6yrs deduction by ACS.
    - Educ. Qualification assessed as AQF Associate Degree major in computing for a 4yr. course BS. Computer Science in a section 2 school.

@hotshot : YES. BS ECE is an ICT degree. You can be assessed in Group A or Group B, depending on the ICT subjects you had taken.

    @hotshot

DLSU main (not Benilde) - Section 1

Either Group A or Group B, you'll get 15 pts for educational qualification coz you have ICT degree in Section 1 school.

Hindi na kasi issue ngayon ang Group A or Group B sa dami ng confusions and loopholes ng ACS and DIAC. After obtaining positive skills assessment. Issue na ang school sectioning.
Be glad that you graduated from Section 1 school. Cheers.

    @issa : thanks! :)

Another question pa po pala. I'm now in the process of collating my detailed COE's from my previous employers. Kaso, yung work experience ko po kasi dun sa previous employer ko ay 6 years straight pero in those 6 years, I had 3 different projects (different clients). Although similar lang din naman ang ginagawa ko for each project (application maintenance, support and enhancement).

For this case, do I need only one COE kasi isang company lang naman? Or, do I need 3 different COE's (one for each project) then ipa-sign ko sa supervisor ko for each of those projects? I would prefer the former and not the latter. hehe. Pero ano po ba ang tamang gawin?

    Thanks in advance.
