INTERVIEW PREPARATION TIPS

I encourage you to prepare hard in possibility that you may be randomly interviewed by phone. Visa officer may call at any time from the time your application has been submitted.

Please note that the questions to be asked will be mostly the ones asked in Question 33.

The guide below is general in nature but you can adopt your answers so they will match your unique profile.

1.) your reason for choosing to undertake the course of study specified in your application;

- You might be asked if you researched about the course.
-make sure you visit the education provider website.
-please print the course details and have them with you at all times for easy reference.
-the case officer might sense that you are reading notes. You can tell that you have printed them as you're studying the course details at all time.
-you may want to mention a few subjects that interest you.
-"you can mention that you consider other courses but you have chosen the course for the particular reason."

2.) your reasons for choosing your education provider;

-visit the education provider website
-get the location of the school
-search it in google maps and explore it in street view.
-determine how far away is the school from the airport, use google maps
-walk through the location and visit other places nearby
-know the name if suburbs close to the school
-determine the price range of rentals in the area, www.gumtree.com.au
-research the mode of transportation available for example bus and train

3.) your reasons for choosing to study in australia rather that in your home country;

-you may also want to know more about the city where your school is:

OTHER POSSIBLE QUESTIONS:

"If you already have a bachelors degree and studying a vocational course, what are the reasons for this?"

Example situation:
A student is registered nurse and will be studying AGED COURSE in Australia

- you can reason that since Geriatric care/aged care was only lightly discussed only in theory in your curriculum, you can mention you want to have a specialized hands on experience in this subject. Studying in australia will give you access to modern facilities that are common place in Australia and other countries. (kau nlng po magdagdag ng iba based sa situation nio )

THE LAST 2 QUESTIONS RELATES TO THE BENEFITS OF THE COURSE TO YOU. Normally, the case officer wants to know how the course will improve your remuneration level. Before you discuss that, you may want to discuss the benefits that money can't buy or it is not possible to quantify the non-monetary benefits of studying abroad.

6.) why are you sort of changing career as you will be studying a course not related to your previous study or work experience?

Lastly: Immigration officer may wany to ask you about money matters. They want to know how the study will improve your payscale: You may say what your salaru level is prior to your study. For example, you are earning php 15,000/month.

"after completing your study, you can say that with extra qualification,gained, tell them where you plan to look for work or what positions you will be aspiring. The position should be normally higher that your current one.

You can say that your pay may increase by say 30% in the local market. You can also say that your aiming to work in singapore where you can claim that you have friends working in the occupation you want. You can state that salary would be in singapore or in any country that you can mention like middle east,canada or NZ.

If you state that you have a plan starting a business, you can briefly describe your business plan. Describe how business will earn money. What products or services you plan to offer? How much will be the selling price and how much will be the cost per unit of item for sale. Estimate the number of units you can sell and then tell the gross profit per month. Estimate the cost of running the business to get the net monthly profit. You can say that after (x) number of years or months, you can expect to recover your investment. In the end , tell the case officer that the experience of studying abroad is something that money can not buy, you can restate the advantages of studying abroad to conclude your statements.

still have the same question are you registered Nurse here? and about the source of fund they still say even if they already have the enough money required na refuse pa din sila. You said you have 4m show money what proof did you show them kung san or what source nung money? thanks sorry curious lang really need to be prepared and choose wisely.

Hello po, yes po im an RN here sa phil. , bank statement and bank cert lang po pinasa ko with special power of attorney na able ako na gamiting ung pera ng sponsor ko anytime, my sponsors was my wife and mom.
Atleast past 3mos up to present na hindi po dapat bumababa ng 1.4M ung money sa bank

Hello , bali meron din po pala akong isinama na payslip and ITR ng sponsor ko, pero more on sa bank statement and bank cert sila tumitingin, tpos nagpagawa ako ng special power of attorney na to proved n i can used the money of my sponsor anytime, ndi ko pa po kasama si wife at manganganak kasi sya dis week , siguro susunod nlng sya kapag stable n kami sa oz. Centro travel po ang agency ko, dto un sa nueva ecija peri madami silang branch. Ok nmn po ang bachelor pero may kabigatan lang sa budget, risky nmn po ang vocational but if complete nmn ang requirements mo wala nmn dahilan ang CO para irefuse ka basta just be prepared lang po sa possible interview and it is cheaper than bachelor although may differences sila specialy sa mga provision and benefits for work.

oh ok, worried me coz i dont have pay slip nor ITR kasi private nurse me dito mostly naman ng fund ko is nasa bank ko and ung iba from my sister. I really dont wanna spend alot kaya mas preferred ko mag vocational dun naman din kasi nakatira bf ko, kaya ako pupunta dun para dun kame mag stay not really to work.

@jkeith just wondering whats the reason why na refused ka? what did you answer on your interview? miniaj can probably help you with your concern coz he already re applied before and now he already have a visa.

@ cutie nope he applied for visa subclass 572 for vocational students which really requries proof of funds. What course are you going to take? usually if Bachelor's Degree courses no need for proof of funds and sometimes direct grant na no interview, not all though means u still need to prepare but its not strict as on visa 572.

@Xine thank u xine. nasagot ko nanga questions nya pero hindi sya satisfied. Hindi ko kase naipaliwanag mabuti, napaka general ngga sagot ko. Tinanong din ako bakit hndi na lang sa mga school dito sa pilipinas ako mag aral. less gastos p daw. Sinabi ko lng iba ang study abroad. hndi ko din naipaliwanag yung course and subjects ko. according to her refusal letter i failed to adress any specific detail as to why i am now pursuing my course after a long study gap. I also did not sifficiently demonstrated that my intension of going back to school is to really reeducate myself, sabi p nya "i did not demonstrated a clear and substantial improvement arising from my proposed study that will outweight the significant time and monetary commitment my course would require.

Hi, gawa nlng po kau ng certificate na proof na naging private nurse kau , ilagay nio po ung date kung kelan and ung name ng patient nio,tpos contact no. Ng patient nio with a signature of them. Im a private nurse din po dati nag pasa po ako ng ganyang requirements sa embassy

Ah nice naman, magkano tuition mo dun? and inag years yung kinuha mo madali na lang pala yang sayo basta ok lahat ng documents mo and paid mo 1 sem usually direct visa grant na basta walang problem sa documents and medical. two friends ko di na ininterview Nursing din kinuha nila for 2 years.

ako mag Aged Care lang ako mas mura kasi sa Melbourne Academia. Mag start pa lang ako mag Exam pa lang ako ng IELTS this nov. 13.

Hi po, same po tau ng situation, i was also refused due to gte on 572, but in my 2nd application binago ko ay ung question 33 ko but ndi po punto por punto ang ginawa ko, just be honest lang po tlga sa lahat ng ipapasa nio and be prepared for possible interview, kasi ndi ka na mahahawakan ulit ng dating mong CO, so back to zero ka so i think you need to be as yourself lang ,fortunately , visa granted n po ako in my 2nd application

Hi po yes i was refused din dahil ndi ko rin nasatisfy ang CO, ndi kasi ako prepared dat time , in your case po siguro, revised mo ang question 33 mo, be specific po sa ilalagay mong sagot dyn kasi malaking factor din yan,, may possibility din na no interview ka na if maganda ang ques 33. And also review all ur docs baka may need ka pang iadd for a strong stand and review ka din po ng mabuti sa interview, relax lang and pray

Hi sa inyo..pwedeng makisingit rin? Sub 572 din ako.. Aged care din ang kukunin kong course.Na lodge ko na poh yung papers ko sa embassy. Tapos nako sa medical. Nakpasa nako. aFTER a few days the embassy asked me for additional requirements. Gusto nila mkita sa own bank account ko talaga yung 1.5M . Binigyan lang nila ako ng 287days to process it. The bank will be working on it tomorow. Tomorow will be my 21st day. Gusto ko sanang malaman if my possiblity na ma grant na yung visa ko after sending them the bank statement and bank certification. At saka, kapag nag ask sila ng additional requirement, once lang bah yun oh baka after this they will be asking another one na naman? haiii.. ninenerbyos ako tlaga.. sana maawa si LOrd sakin.. salamat
