PDOS for 489 Visa

What's Hot

Hello! I know this had been discussed on other threads but I'm confused as I've read some who says there's no need for PDOS for 489 visa and some who says you have to get one. Can someone who actually holds a 489 share their experience?

Salamat :)

Hi! I'm another 489 holder who is in need of help ;) If the CFO/PDOS is not required for a 489 holder, what document will immigration require when flying out of the Philippines?

@islaman I would assume you are already in Australia as per your timeline. Based on your experience, any advice?

@floyd2418 can you also share your experience?

    Thanks!!

@fgs thank you! and can you help with these two questions too? Appreciate all the help!
    1) we're not required to show a POEA clearance right? because at the moment I don't have work in AU yet. Ill look for one when i get there.
    2) Additionally, I only have a one way flight for now so no return ticket. No issues here too?

@markberdin, no need for POEA clearance. And no issues with having one way flight.

    Good luck!

Salamat.

Hi.

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) conducts a mandatory Guidance and Counselling Program for departing Filippino spouses, fiance and other partners of foreign nationals.

@chelle hi, sorry for late reply.

@sef we also received visa 489 last feb 2017, plan namin pumunta ng AU this June and yan din ang question namin ni hubby. Buti nabasa ko 'to. Anyway, if hindi kelangan ng PDOS, anong pinakita or hinanap sa inyo sa immig?

    @misisv

@sef i just need to ask this, if di need ng pdos, did you just pay for the travel tax? So meaning before check in they should know na di na kelangan ng pdos, tama ba? Or they still questioned you after checking in even though you paid for the travel tax? Sorry if dami ko tanong, dala ko kasi ang baby ko pag travel ko and kami lang since we'll meet my hubby sa SG na. So as much as possible gusto ko sana maiwasan yung hassle with the immig dito sa pinas just because di nila kabisado ang 489.

Hello! Any 489 visa who departed this May or who will depart on June? I contacted Official POEA fb page and they told me na need daw ng OEC kahit na sinabi ko na wala pa namang employer sa AU and it's a temp residence visa. Medyo naguguluhan ako. Meron ba nakaencounter nito?

Unless for documentary/statistics purposes, parang counter-intuitive na mandatory requirement sya to exit.

I'm very happy to announce PinoyAu Forum's new app called "SimplyStall" . It's a new Gumtree like service for Pinoys in Australia but in a way better!

So if you have any items just collecting dust? Why not convert it to cash?

If you are selling new items or products or wish to give an item away for free then this might be a good avenue for you.

This project is a new initiative to unify and have a common portal for Pinoys in Australia to sell and share stuffs.

It's now available on Google Play and Apple App Store.

Please do try it out. I'd appreciate if you can help me spread the good news and start selling your old or new stuffs.
