Hi @TasBurrfoot . Yes I know po, however, the driver's license is attached to the IC number. I was just wondering kung ipapa return nila lahat ng associated sa PR including the license.

I wasn't even an Sg PR but I still have my Sg licence with me; they didn't ask me to surrender it. No one will. My DL is still supposed to be valid until 2019 anyway.

I mean, do we surrender our Ph DL's when we leave as well? :)

@cholle I am not sure about the process of cancelling an EP, but PRs are required to go to ICA for some formalities when renouncing. They also require us to bring relevant documents such as old passports, REPs, and the like. I am wondering whether the officer will ask me to surrender the license at that point or not.

Also, PH and SG are two different countries, they can have diffrent rules on this.

But my take is the same as yours, I feel that they won't ask me to surrender the license. I was just hoping that some of our friends who went through the same process would share their actual experiences.

    Thanks for the inputs

@tuchul Ah, I get it. Although I think what I'm trying to say is, if I got to keep mine, then I don't see why you shouldn't :) btw I used the Sg licence to get myself a full licence upon moving out here so I think you shouldn't surrender it anyway, it'll make your life easier ;)
