public guardianship

has anyone here had any experience with a relative or knows someone who is under the public guardian (NSW to be specific)?

I need some info, it is about my grandmother who has dementia and she is under the public guardian now (just last month). And now we are finding it difficult for her to be with us here in melbourne, or going back to the Phils, or maybe just a vacation to the Phils.

Would really appreciate it if someone can share.
