A new member here..but was able to read most of your queries and responses before..

I'd like to share our own experience in applying for a spouse visa.

June 5,2014 - applied online

All requirements were uploaded same day. We did not hire an agent to help us with the requirements. I personally scanned, compiled and uploaded all necessary requirements.

July 28,2014 - a case officer was assigned and at the same time emailed me for a CENOMAR. I complied a week after.

September 18,2014 - I applied for a tourist visa for my Nov8-16 trip to Au.

October 3,2014- tourist visa was approved. On same day, case officer for spouse visa called and asked me if am done with my medical exam.

November 4,2014 - I completed my medical exam. It took me that long coz I've waited for the results of our annual medical exam at work..to check if am healthy..

Nov 8-16,2014 - was in Australia to be with my husband on his birthday.

February 5,2015 - visa was granted 🙂

when did u lodge ur visa application?

based on reading other applicants' posts, i thought mine would b granted around midweek of feb or first week of march 😐 but it was granted earlier and we are so happy til now 😃

@jacdang nov20 po but nrcv nla 21 n so mag4months plng po. mg4yrs n kc kmi LDR ni hubby hehe kya nakakainip dn po n uuwi lNg xa for 11/2 month a yr. Thanks po sa comment nyo. Happy to read positive comments and experieces :-bd

@say05 happy to help sis coz i know exactly how it feels..kmi nmn ni hubby is more than a year p lng kasal..and we dont have children yet..

i processed all requirements after our wedding..it takes a lot of effort especially at that time when the online application just started..only a few experienced how it is..so i had to read several blogs..but it's all worth it ;😉 😉

@jacdang Yun dn po nakahelp smin, reading helped alot. Sa immi site lng po ko naresarch ng mga need ipasa and opted to pass all the docs at VFS. Pra lng sure. 1yr plng dn po kmi married pero we've been in a relationship for 7yrs now. We've known each other since 2007, way back in college. Hopefully po our app would turn out well like yours

@say05 indeed helpful and less expensive..coz hiring an agent to help complete the requirements is costly..i asked a former colleague at Deutsche how much she spent hiring an agent for her visa and she said it's more than Php100k $-)

anyway, hubby and i come fr same province..but were introduced to each other last 2008..so, it's an LDR relp din like urs :\">

@jacdang 2011 po nagmigrate fam nla hubby nun, and 1month preggo n pla ko non hehe.. umuwi xa dto s pinas 2012 3months na bby nmin kc nagwait p po xa ng residency nla. 457 visa kc sila.

Oonga po and hindi din nmin alam n pde mgagent pero if nlaman nmin ahead d din kmi magagent haha nakakaloka ang gastos! @-)

@say05 hehe 😃 true sis! that's why i was determined na ilakad by myself lahat ng reqts and it paid off naman..we tried to meet every possible requirement needed din..bka pla sis mas maaga grant visa mo coz u have a child together..one of the considerations un eh..if am not mistaken 🙂

@jacdang Nku nabasa ko nga din po n may priority group and naexcite ako pero bat po sb sa email prng first come first serve. kya mjo naguluhan ako. pero thanks po hehe

@say05 got my nbi may of last year before lodging, so malapit n xa magexpire :-S ung medicals q nmn last nov lng so matagal p expiration 😉 my prob now is landing a job in Sydney X_X

@jacdang Ang first entry date po n nakalagy s visa nyo ano po May po b? Bsta po may exp kyo dto sa pinas at degree holder kyo mdli lng po un. may friend po ko blis nya nakakuha ng work days lang. sydney dn po sila ng hubby nya. mjo mhrap po kc dw mkawork dun dhl mtaas ang competition

nkabasa kc aq ng ibang thread na 2-4mos bago nagka offer mga accountants 🙁( kya praning aq ngaun though i know nmn na case-to-case basis p din..napa-chat tuloy aq sa mga dati q officemates sa Deutsche at Citi na working na don :-??
