Onshore student visa while in visitor visa

in Study and Training Visa
Gud pm. Meron po ba naka-try magprocess ng student visa while in australia. My sister is in tourist visa ngayon and she plan to study. Ayaw tanggapin ng uni kasi di daw pwede mag-process on shore. Kailangan daw umalis.

June 7, 2012 - Applied for Visa through an agency
June 15, 2012 - notified by agency that we have to do the medical
June 18, 2012 - Medical Exam at Nationwide
July 3, 2012 - Nationwide submitted the results online. Why it took so long? They gave me plenty of BS reasons.
July 10, 2012 - Phone interview.
July 15, 2012 -Asked by Immigration to pay tuition and OSHC.
July 18, 2012 - Paid tuition and OSCHC.
July 30, 2012 - Visa Granted
Aug 1, 2012 - Notified by my agency that Visa granted
Aug 13, 2012 - Received documents
Aug 17, 2012 - Flying to Darwin.

    @jhndoe2000 thanks sa link... Sinabi na din namin yan pero sabi ng uni if someone from Philippines daw karamihan na denied sa visa. They said kailangan daw kasi magprovide ng exceptional reason kung bakit dito sa australia iprocess...

    Yup kailangan offshore. Kung hindi dapat may previous substantial visa na, like student o working visa. Otherwise madedeny. Hindi siya katulad ng ibang countries.

    @sunshine oh, so nagstudent pala siya dati. Baka may chance. I dunno for sure. Basta ang kailangan yata exceptional circumstances and masatisfy yung GTE. Kumg madedeny magkakarecord and iaadvise siya to leave kung walang ibang visa.

    Pero I'm no expert so my suggestion is keep in touch with immigration. Sila naman may final say, hindi mga opinion nmin..

    Hi! Curently on a Business Visa subclass 600 ako now, applying for a student visa onshore dito sa Aus, so far di naman denied yung visa ko, they just asked me to undergo medicals again and provide extention of OSHC kasi kulng yung nasa send ko, DIY lng kc,..no migration agent. If ma provide k yun more or less granted n yun. Doing my medicals this friday.

    I applied for SVP advance diploma coarse in management sa melbourne.

    Btw, Just finished my bridging course to qualify mag apply for registration as a nurse, I used that as my substansive reason for consideration, nasa State occupation list yun RN..

    check under Restrictions with her tourist visa. If it says there "no further stay", she won't be able to apply for Student visa onshore. She needs to go back to Ph and apply there. :)

    Timeline
    subclass 572. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. ACAE, Perth, WA.
    April 2014 - visited Australia and attended ACAE open day May 2014 - took IELTS / May 2014 - Received Offer Letter and COE / Round 1* June 2014 - lodged visa application; Medicals at St Luke's; Requested for further test due to opacity on right lung; Sputum test result: negative / July 2014 - application withdrawn. Reason: sponsor was brother-in-law and was asked by embassy to submit additional docs. Also, further medical test requested. Case Officer: M. Padilla. / Sept 2014 - culture test result: negative.
    Round 2 *Target: February intake
    Dec 2014 - appointed IDP as student agent. Paid 10,000 for visa processing assistance / Jan 5, 2015 - submitted documents to IDP / Jan 7, 2015 - IDP lodged application thru VFS / Jan 8, 2015 - embassy acknowledged application / Jan 20 2015 - embassy requested to sign form 815 (Health Undertaking). Case Officer: M. Padilla / Jan 22 2015 VISA GRANT

    How about existing Visit Visa valid one year? I plan to go to Aus ng Dec this year. Can I apply for a Student Visa with an existing Visit Visa (di pa gamit)?

    @galtraveller: as far as i know, pwede...my visitor is also multiple entry 1yr, n grant naman yung student visa ko.

    @dream88 your visa will depend on how long yung bridging course mo, if 12 weeks lng business visa ang applyan mo, if more than 12 weeks, student visa ang applyan mo.

    @tooties - ay sorry mali pala. naglodge po kase ako ng application for visit visa (tourist - no sponsor) wala pa pong resulta mag iisang bwan na po. i was just thinking when i get it, it's usually valid for one year na single entry (already had two in the past they never gave me a multiple entry). so once i get to oz on the visit visa, i hope to convert it to student visa from there.
