OSHC cover terminates before the final day of classes end

Good day! I have been reading the posts here for sometime and they proved to be helpfûl. I am a newbie and i hope someone could help me with my prob.

I am currently proccessing for my student visa application and i paid the oshc on my own. The prob is, my cover ends on august 2017 when my classess will end on oct 2017. Is this going to be a prob? Thanks in advance.

I think u need to top up pa ng 2months to complete the duration of the course.

Thanks! Appreciate your reply. Is it going to be an issue for the granting of my visa? Or i can just top up when i am already in oz?

Hi TS. I suggest extending your OSHC cover to match the duration of your course for 2 reasons:

1. You don't want your CO to make this an issue and cause delays in the processing of your application.
2. You might forget extending it once youre in Australia, and I have read some serious cases where students who stayed here with a lapsed health insurance had serious problems with the immigration upon applying for a subsequent visa.

Marerefund mo naman just in case you finish your course ahead of time.
