Travelling to Sydney as Tourist 101

AdminAdmin SingaporePosts: 1,767Administrator
edited May 2016 in New South Wales - Sydney
Hi Guys,

Just to share our journey to Sydney this coming June. We are travelling as a family with already granted tourist visa. We submitted our tourist visa application via online. took 4 days to get the approval. Things we are preparing and considering.

1. Ticket - We got the ticket from Asia Travel with a good deal. Cheapest so far i can find is from scoot!
2. Accommodation - Got a good deal at Asia Travel Flight + Hotel, staying at CBD. If budget constraint you can check Airbnb site for cheaper accommodations. just be careful about the distance from your target places.
3. Transport to take from Airport to Hotel and vice versa. - As advised by other people, cheapest is to take a) uber b) taxi c) friends or family who can pick you up for free!
4. Food - Since food in AU is served in big portion, you can share with your partners.
5. Touring around (transport) - buy their OPAL card, it was advised that it's cheaper to take Train or if your get lost, take uber.
6. Plan your Itinerary - plan plan plan which places you would like to visit.
7. Prepare the proper clothing - Depends on the season you will visit. prepare the proper attire, you wouldnt want to forget bringing Winter clothes during winter season.

These are just some of the tips i can share, thing we are considering on our trip on June. Please feel free to add or share :)

Madali lang magtravel sa Sydney so far I have tried umikot by train back in 2012. Taxi’s are convenient mode of transportation pero mahal. You can download the uber app (Same app used in PH and SG), way cheaper and safer than taxis but u need a credit card as they don’t accept cash payment unlike in PH.

you can also download opal travel app. para malaman nyo exact time ng dating ng bus or train depende sa location ninyo. nakalagay nadin dun magkano pamasahe nyo from your loc to (kung san ang punta nyo). sana makatulong :\"> may map nadin kasi nakalagay dun pala.
