standard CV format is fine. just ensure that the job description on your CV is similar to those on your employer letters.

Nature of Employment: Regular
Last Position Held: Position X (January 1, 2012 to present)
Previous Position/s Held: Position Y (January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011)
Last Basic Monthly Salary: optional

Date of Admission: optional
Date of Separation: optional
Working Hours: 08:00 am to 05:00 pm, Monday to Friday

The following were his duties and responsibilities:

As per agent namin important yung duties and responsibilities na mag match dun sa JD ng chemist ANZSCO. Pinalagyan nya ng working hours to prove that we are working 40 hours per week.

Ayan, on-hold ang VETASSESS. Hindi muna sila tumatanggap ng skills assessment. Dahil daw sa Skilled Migration Visa changes...

So far, nasa Victoria lang na list tayo for subclass 190. Hoping for more options when updates come this July. Meanwhile, I was finally able to submit my VETASSESS application. Now, the waiting and praying for positive outcome begins.

As for me, waiting na lang for the visa grant. I was able to lodge on April 19, but no updates til now.

@purplehaze Hi! Thanks! I just saw your signature, twice ka ngtry sa VIC, pero unsuccessful kahit nasa list and yet sa NSW, na wala tayo sa list, ay nainvite ka. Amazing! Naglalagay ba sila ng reason if bakit negative ang assessment mo? at pati na rin sa state nomination? Mas lalo akong nakabahan hehehe

@markier87 For VETASSESS I requested for the "Negative Explanation". Basically the statement of duties and responsibilities I have submitted did not match that of the nominated occupation. I applied for Reassessment and submitted a more detailed statement of duties and responsibilities.

With state nomination naman, template lang yung rejection email ng Victoria.

Thanks for the info. Got a call from VETASSESS requesting additional docs which I immediately submitted naman. Assessment still in progress. Kakatense maghintay talaga hehehe

I'm a newbie here in the forum... glad to find this topic... ang dami ko info na nakuha... ngayon pa lang din ako magstart apply sa Au... nagustuhan ko dun saka para makasama ko na family ko... I have been working here in Sg for 10years balak ko to try in Au nagustuhan ko din ung lifestyle sa Au nung nagvisit kami ni hubby... medyo confuse lang din ako kung ano occupation ang declare ko... Chemical Eng and Chemistry ang degree ko kaso more on QA/QC laboratory experience ko... much better ba na Chemist po ung nominate ko?

Due to the changes last July 1, kapag ba napunta sa MLTSSL ang occupation pwede ng magapply ng 189 Visa?

I have read in the below link na nalipat ung Chemist from STSOL to MLTSSL

Hi @jen1013 ! Based kasi sa latest na update naremove na yung chemist sa list. Im not sure with Chem Eng.

Di na kami nag agent since very helpful naman tong forum with how to go about the application

As far as I know if you are applying for 189 and 489 (family sponsored) you need to nominate an occupation in MLTSSL (old SOL)

nd when i tried searching the occupafion in this website, di daw siya eligible for visa 189 https://www.anzscosearch.com/search/

pero there was another MLTSSL list for Visa 186 and 457 na included nga si chemist.

Hi. I have to agree with @purplehaze, wala sa 189 and 190 ang Chemist. Nasa 186 and 457 na sya.

Though I have a question, Chemistry Technician kasi is still on 190 but what I have is positive assessment for Chemist. Would it be okay to use that assessment to apply for 190 under Chemistry technician skill?

Meron lang 2 list ng occupations for migration to Australia effective 1-July-2017

a. MLTSSL (old SOL)
b. STSOL (old CSOL)

MLTSSL - applicable to 189 visa, 489 visa (family sponsored)
STSOL - applicable to 190 visa, 489 visa (state sponsored)


For work visa (457 there are two types, short term (2 yrs) and long term (4yrs).
a. If you apply for work visa and your occupation is included in MLTSSL - work visa applicant can be given 4 yrs visa
b. if you apply for work visa and your occupation is included in STSOL - work visa applicant
can only be given 2 yrs visa

Visa 186 - is a DIRECT entry PR given to employee sponsored by an employer. There are also caveats on some occupations in the list.

If you are applying for any of the below:

Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) – Points-tested stream
Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) - Family nominated
Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) – Graduate Work Stream.

you will need to nominate an occupation from the MLTSSL of the relevant legislative instrument – see: IMMI 17/072 Specification of Occupations and Assessing Authorities.

@krizzymalasig if that's the case, is chemistry technician related to chemistry? if yes, chemistry technician is in South Australia Supplementary skills list for state sponsorship. Either 190 or 489.

In order to nominate an occupation from SA supplementary skills,you need to meet any of the 4 conditions.

1. high points (must have 80 points including SS)
2. job offer
3. family/relatives in SA
4. graduate from SA university

Check it out, you may qualify as chemistry technician. :-)

@krizzymalasig ask ko lang sa 186 that means maghahanap ka muna ng employer na mag sponsor? pano pala yun that means mag start na mag pass ng applications online and see if may willing magsponsor?

seems like yun lang tlga ang path na pwede for chemist ngayon.

nagpa assess na din ako sa vetassess. kakasubmit ko lang ng requirements.
hoping for a positive result.

Does 186 and 457 need a job offer bago makapaglodge?

And yung stream 2 for NSW, pwede pa rin ba tayo dun considering na nasa MLTSSL naman tayo?

Hi, fellow chemists!

I agree, the "Chemist" skill is quite unclear for now. Sa pagkakaintindi ko, we need to be sponsored by an employer for a chance to have a skilled migration. (refer to @krizzymalasig's post above)

My options, for now: 485, 186 or 457.

If may alam kayo about sa stream 2 ng NSW since nasa MLTSSL naman tayo, please share here as well.
