Happy 2019 sa lahat! New update lang... we are planning to revamp the site in the 1st - 2nd quarter of this year, time to change the very old look ng site. Salamat sa lahat ng support, especially sa mga loyal na bumabalik at moderator na walang sawang sumusuporta sa site.
First, I’m not an expert in job searching; this is based on experience and seminars that I have attended. I-share ko lang.
Approaches to a Job Search:
1. Advertisements (20-40% of jobs) http://www.seek.com.au http://www.careerone.com.au http://www.indeed.com.au/jobs?q=&l=Adelaide+SA
The Advertiser newspaper
2. Word of Mouth / Networking
Meet friends, new friends and friend of friends.
Personal contact is the main starting point for active job search (56%)
3. Directly contacting a company
Define your targets and do in-dept research:
Industry, location, size, culture, reputation, Contact Person
4. Social Media
5. Recruitment Agencies Least recommended
since Recruiters are paid a fee by companies to find them suitable employees.
Recruiter’s clients are employers, not you.
Be aware of potential conflict of interest.
KNOW which recruitment companies operate in your area of interest.
Hope this helps
