    @greysworld123 Last year napakabilis lang, naglodged ako ng eoi 489 family (55 + 10), sep26, 2017 then nakareceived po ako invite oct 4. Nanghihinayang ako hinayaan ko magexpired nung dec 3 last year kaya resubmit ako dec 4 unfortunately, until now wala pa ako invite kaya planning to take pte na ako this month :(

    Paano po ba magandang gawin (practical) if maglodge nako ng application for the 489 visa? Obviously I want to include my wife as my dependent. Pero ang naiisip ko for now, since ndi pa din naman sure (if in case I was granted of state sponsorship) na Immigration (Home Affairs) will grant you visa, ako na lang muna magaapply since may bayad ang visa application. Baka kasi kapag 2 ang ibayad ko for the visa application (me and my wife), ma-deny din lang naman, sayang lang yung pera. So Im planning na ako na lang muna magapply, once granted, asikasuhin ko naman sa wife ko?

    Paano po ba ang mas tama at practical na gawin?

    *Feb.2017 - Positive result from VETASSESS
    (Only chance of EOI was in SA which require high points for a 489 visa)
    *Mar.2017 - 2nd attempt of PTE (Phil). LRSW = 86/76/65/90 (unsuccessful to get superior)
    *Nov.2017- I turned 40, which means minus 10 pts. =(
    - Started to lose hope and forget my Aus dream for a while
    *July 2018 - NT, SA and Tasmania were open
    - I needed to get a superior score from PTE
    *Aug. 2018 - 3rd attempt of PTE (Dubai). LRSW = 57/69/84/56 (scores were awful)
    (Despite my scores, I am determined and wont stop til i get that superior)
    *Oct.2018 - 4th attempt of PTE (Phil). LRSW = 79/90/83/86 (at last!)
    *Nov.2018 - EOI Northern Territory, Tasmania and SA
    *Aug.1, 2019 - Northern Territory ITA
    *Aug.7, 2019 - Official NT Skillselect ITA (Hired MA for visa lodging)

    Follow-up question.

    This December 2018, magiging 8 yrs na ang experience ko sa nominated job ko, that means plus 5 pts. Will it be updated automatically sa SkillSelect acct since may portion doon where all your job exp were indicated? or I have to do it manually pa? and claim that additional 5 pts?

    For now, including the SS, I am already 70 pts. NT only needs 65 pts, but SA needs 80pts for my nominated job (nagbakasakali lang ako sa SA kahit 70pts lang ako for now).

    Any suggestion po.

    *May 2016 -Heard one friend sharing stories about Australia
    -Had my research the ff.day about my job opportunity in Australia
    -Become aware about PTE, ANZSCO and VETASSESS
    *Sept.2016 - 1st attempt of PTE (Dubai). LRSW = 83/71/76/83
    *Dec.2016 - Submitted docs to VETASSESS for Skills Assessment
    *Feb.2017 - Positive result from VETASSESS
    (Only chance of EOI was in SA which require high points for a 489 visa)
    *Mar.2017 - 2nd attempt of PTE (Phil). LRSW = 86/76/65/90 (unsuccessful to get superior)
    *Nov.2017- I turned 40, which means minus 10 pts. =(
    - Started to lose hope and forget my Aus dream for a while
    *July 2018 - NT, SA and Tasmania were open
    - I needed to get a superior score from PTE
    *Aug. 2018 - 3rd attempt of PTE (Dubai). LRSW = 57/69/84/56 (scores were awful)
    (Despite my scores, I am determined and wont stop til i get that superior)
    *Oct.2018 - 4th attempt of PTE (Phil). LRSW = 79/90/83/86 (at last!)

    @FearFactory_17 Automatic po ung recalculation ng pts. ganyan nangyari sakin this month 8yrs na ako sa work exp at nadagdagan na ako ng 5pts sa work exp.

    may email notification ang skill select :)

    Hello po sa inyong lahat. Curious lang po ako about sa article na ito. If ever maimplement sya, would it affect kaya yung mga existing 489 visa holders or moving forward lang sa mga bagong ma-grant. Waiting pa po kame ng grant pero mejo curious lang din kung sakal. Salamat po sa mga magshare ng thoughts.

    @supermadi Hindi naman retroactive mag apply ng policies ang Australia so don't worry.... added stress lang sayo yan if isipin mo pa.

    Hi guys. Ask ko lang need ba ng ielts bago mag apply sa 489 visa. Newbie here hehe. Sinubaybayan ko tong thread n to. Ask ko lang ano first step na dpt ko gwn. I.t line ko 24 yrs old ako. My uncle ako dto sa nsw and andto ako now visit visa. Chinek q na dn work ko ACT comp networks. Wala pa ako ielts salamat po ng mrme. More power sa thread n to. Grats sa lahat ng na grant na..
    Dagdag ko na din. Pg ng apply b ko ng 489 pd dn akong mag add ng family member ksma ko? Sister ko isasama q. Never married ako slamat.2 years sa qatar as i.t specialist then 1 year sa pinas i.t specialist din
