Magtatanong din sana ako kung anu-ano ang mga dapat dalhin para ma maximize and 46 kilos na baggage allowance. Nabasa ko din na pwedeng ilagay sa balikbayan box yung mga gamit papuntang SA, tama ba to? Ang mahal kasi ng luggage eh. Sayang pambaon din ang matitipid ko. ">

I pretty sure na pwede, kasi I know someone na ganun ginawa (she came from NZ).
I think depende lang kung via air freight or land freight. Sorry not much personal experience on this

Anyway you can also ask someone from Manila Trading ( filipino shop here in Adelaide) I know they do balikbayan box from SA to Phils, but I guess it wont hurt to ask.

But a good advice would be, as early as now make sure you have a check list of what to bring.
(don't forget Lots of underwear and socks.. hehehe)

Hi. Nice to see na may mga kababayan tayo sa SA na nagkikita kita at nagtutulungan. My family and I just got our 475 visa. We're planning to travel to Adelaide by March 2013. May tanong lang ako, I have a son kasi 14yo/second year hs na siya dito sa Manila. Will it be better for us to go in January para makapag start siya ng schoolyear? Or is it ok for him to enter school in Adelaide kahit middle of the schoolyear na. Januray kasi is just too soon for us to leave.

Hindi po ako taga SA.. pero here is my suggestion:

May idea na po ba kayo kung san kayo area mag settle? if yes, maybe you can start searching for school now, and then you may contact and ask your question to them.

Remember, may mga zones ang school, priority nila ang mga students living on that zone. So as long as dun kayo titira sa area, baka pwede naman po yun. Just mention your situation, na after ng school year sa Pinas, sguro after finals ng anak nyo, pwede na kayo lumipad, un nga lang pasok agad sya at walang vacation..

Vacation na ang mga schools after 2nd week of December.. and I think start ng school year is last week of January..

As Med tech, I think it depends, on your field of expertise.
Transfusion experience would be a great skill to have as well as histopath. Very competitive but usually maganda experience natin there sa Pinas.

Yes, you may bring balikbayan boxes instead of luggage. Just make sure that the weight of each box does not exceed the allowable 23kgs.
