Hi @Cassey. Im an RN pero ang field of experience ko e sa ambulance nursing. Counted ba un as nursing experience? Actually im in a occupational and safety officer role at ang goal ko lng tlg is mgka RP then il pursue any occupation. Ngka liwanag ang paligid ko na my pgasa pla ako khit wla ko experience as nurse sa hospital setting. Interested ako sa conversion sana.

@Jekfire You can try to apply for a bridging if you have an experience. Unfortunately, I'm not in the position to say whether your experience will be recognised or not. If you can prove that your job role is within the scope of nursing practice, then you might be eligible for a bridging course. AHPRA will let you know if you can do a bridging course or if not then a conversion course. I think the bridging course is around $13k, it would still depend though on the school you'll be enrolling in.

@mrsespejo Ang Diploma of Nursing ay iba sa Conversion course (Bachelor of Nursing). Yung Diploma pag natapos kayo rito sa Au, Enrolled Nurse (EN) ang tawag o Division 2 Nurse. Pag Bachelors naman, yun yung Division 1 Nurse o Registered Nurse (RN) dito.

Since RN na kayo sa Phils. kung gusto niyong maging RN dito sa Au may option kayo to whether get a Bridging course or Conversion Course (Bachelor of Nursng) depende sa personal circumstances niyo kung ano yung pupuwede niyong kuhanin. Yung Bridging Course kailangang may approval from AHPRA bago kayo makapagenrol. Yung Conversion Course naman, depende sa school kung gaano siya katagal, it maybe a year or 2.. Once na natapos na kayo rito ng Bridgng or Conversion Course, you need to register sa AHPRA, get ANMAC skills assessment, lodge for an EOI then once invited you can apply for PR.

@Cassey ah ok. So ang first step ko e mg PTE to get 65 in all areas then gather docs for APHRA? Then once nasubmit ko n lht at hopefully mkpasa at maapproved for bridging course then hanap nko ng school so student visa muna ko for sure. Once mtpos ung bridging apply nko for anmac for skill assessment? Tama po ba sequence?

@Jekfire After mong matapos sa course, register ka na sa AHPRA as a Nurse (Counterpart of PRC) Once na Registered ka na, apply na for ANMAC then Skill Select for EOI then PR.

@dolly Huwag mong iisipin yung gagastusin mo kasi investment mo yun para sa inyo ng family mo. Mas malaki man ang gastos for Bachelors, malayong mas malaki naman ang chance niya for a PR kasi open siya for both 189 at 190 unlike pag Diploma. Titignan mo rin yung chance mo for PR, I suggest na you check the individual websites for each of the states kung open ba ang EN for migration and kung mamemeet mo yung requirements nila for migration. It's also riskier to take Diploma kasi anytime pwede nilang tanggalin yun sa list unlike yung RN na malaki yung demand for it. :)
Anyway, yung refusal is depende sa iprepresent mo na documents, funds, personal circumstances, etc... Maraming factors ang tinitignan.

@Cassey ms. Cassey whats the difference po of IRON to EPIQ RN? Kasi I'm waiting for my LOE na from AHPRA. And my migration agent informed me already that the intake for bp courses in deakin are filled up na until nov2017. So probably next intake will be on jan2018. I am eyeing pa naman for an intake within this year. So im thinking of going to southern cross gold coast instead which offers EPIQ RN.

@Cassey Tanong lang po since you're already in Melb. I was offered a CN position sa Melbourne private hospital. A little less when it comes to pay as compared here sa QLD. (3-4 $ difference) Knowing na the standards of living there is quite, do you think it will be a good move to shift from a "2 hour drive to the city" to a "city-city"?

@dy3p If you have a good overseas experience then why not try to look for a better paying job. Marami namang opening as far as I know. So far Melbourne is okay. It isn't as expensive as Sydney. I couldn't compare it with Queensland though because I haven't been there, hehe
What do you mean with your question? Are you thinking of moving into the City? Convenience wise, of course it's way better plus you'll be saving on petrol and time as well.

@reesechocs Hi, from what I've read EPIQ is another term that they use for IRON Program so basically it's just the same thing. Anyway, marami pa namang schools ang nagooffer ng bridging course hindi lang Deakin. You can check this link for the schools offering the bridging program:
    http://www.ahpra.gov.au/Education/Approved-Programs-of-Study.aspx?ref=Nurse&Type=Bridging
Look for Division 1 bridging Program.

Actually, my place of work is in Hervey Bay, QLD. A little over 2-3 hours drive from Brisbane. Yes, I am thinking of moving into the city. So far, the job offers that I receive from different hospitals are less than what I am currently earning. Some RN position and some CN. My wife though would probably have a better opportunity since she works in the financial field.

@Maceda1112 Hi, pwede mo naman siyang isama as student dependent kapag student visa. As with the show money, yung balance mo for tuition fee plus yung living expenses niyong dalawa for the whole duration of your study/stay in Au. Nasa link na eto yung living cost for 12mos, i-compute mo na lang. :) https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Stud/More/Student-Visa-Living-Costs-and-Evidence-of-Funds

Hi. Newbie here. Tanong ko lang po kung madali lang ba makakuha ng sponsorship (employer) after bridging program? I am a nurse here in phils with total of 6yrs experience. I am currently an operating room nurse for 3yrs now. Tanong ko lang din po if what visa i should apply since i dont want to go home sa pinas after the bridging program. Do i need to enrol in another course after BP para lang makastay sa oz? Salamat sa reply
