Moving and working to non-sponsoring state

GoldSeekerGoldSeeker AdelaidePosts: 202Member
Hi guys!

Im currently on a temporary graduate visa whilst processing my South Australia state sponsored visa190. I want to ask if moving and working to your non-sponsoring state is ok? I have read that it might have complications in the future esp in terms of citizenship and RRV? Can you guys share your thoughts about this?

Thank you.

yes it could affect your future RRV or citizenship application. You are obliged to comply to your visa restrictions at all times. Some people move to a different state under 190 but there is a risk.

No first hand experience, reiterate ko lang din yung mga nabasa ko dito sa forum. Meron daw iba na hindi natapos yung 2 years, hindi nagka-problem sa application for citizenship. Merong iba pina fulfill daw muna yung 2 years. Kung wala ka talaga mahanap na work sa sponsoring state mo, pwede daw sila sabihan at irerelease ka nila from the obligation. May friends akong di tinapos yung 2 years, pero di pa sila nagaapply for citizenship so di ko pa alam ano consequence. Personally, I don't want to take the risk. 2 years lang rin naman. :)

Di ka pa nga naaapprove ng sponsorship, iniisip mo ng umalis? Remeber you are signing a declaration na genuine ang intention mo to live and work sa sponsoring state mo. Natututo na ang SA and state sponsorship gets tougher. Any onshore applicant is required to have live in SA for a min of 1 year before sponsorship is approved. Dati kasi ginagamit lang ang SA para makakuha ng visa then di pala icocomply ang conditions ng visa.

@fgs Whooaaa I really appreciate your comment but no need for the shade. I have acquired the sponsorship and already lodged my visa, just waiting for a grant. Ive been here in SA for >2yrs started as an international student, got my first job after 6-8mos of job hunting. Although other opportunities have opened up since my graduation, its still difficult to find a stable job. Yun lang naman ang concern ko dito.
