    @LokiJr salamat! Actually yung worry ko is yung wala akong local australian experience. Ano kaya yung rate of success pag nag apply? Most oz companies ba talaga hinahanap yun? btw, I have 4+ year exp. as dev.

    in addition, dun sa interview - gaano katechnical ung mga tanong nila?

    Try as many 'channels' di natin masabi kung saan kayo papalarin e...though based from my friends' experiences, malaking bagay yung may kakilala/kaibigan/kamag-anak na nandun...not because of nepotism, but because they can refer you to employers who are in urgent need of people hehe

    @bmc_cpu at @killerbee Yes merong employer na nagpapakuha ng exam. In my case, nung nasa Pinas pa ako, they sent me through email the questions at least 10 minutes before the exam. Mostly technical questions on mining/environmental issues. After an hour, I sent my exam paper back through email din. After an hour they called me for a telephone interview. One hour din yung interview ko. After 2 weeks, they informed me that I passed the 1st round, so another task ulit, this time a research work for 3 days. Then I presented my output to the panel through skype for 15 minutes and the panel had 45 minutes to ask questions about the topic I researched. After two weeks of waiting, they called me and informed me that they will offer me the job. BTW, sa www.seek.com.au ko rin nakita yung job oppening.

    Hi! we're Perth Bound Next year.... This is still related to job hunting... Ano po yung best month to move to OZ na ideal for job hunting? yung time na usually maraming available jobs kahit part time or temporary jobs even odd jobs. I've read from one of the suggested blogs here that June-August will be the best time since it's the end of the fiscal year but some people say its not a good time to move as jobs will be harder to find... Please give your inputs :) it would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

    We've been here for almost 3 weeks na and still didn't get any single positive reply from employers/agents. Buti na lang si hubby got a job while we're still in the Phils through online search, sa gumtree.com nman. Ok lang ba mag walk in sa mga offices? I'm an accountant by the way, and kung ano-ano na jobs inapplyan ko pero wala pa rin tlga. :(

    hi @adelle_82! best time is after the holiday season (jan - march) and after the financial year (july - sep). this is just the recommendation from recruiters pero wala pa akong nakikitang figures na nagsasabi na mas maraming openings pag ganitong mga months :)
    yan din sabi ng isang recruiter na nakausap ko. usually daw madami after the holidays (mga January). :)

    Best time to come here for a job is around January.Usually tapos na ang budget season during Ber months.Some companies do shutdown by December 14-January 6.

    @smartbrat yan mahirap sa accounting..dapat kasi you are a registered accountant in australia. if you apply for like grocery worker or kahit anong job..they tell you din na overqualified ka. that's being caught between a rock and a hard place. pero keep looking.. good luck!

    hello! yes, pero kulang ang info. what is the gap between ur grad day & 1st IT job? u need a filler, i think.
