Working visa obtained while onshore, passport renewal
Hello kabayan! I just want to ask if may naka experience na ba sa inyo na nakakuha ng working visa while onshore (meaning naka tourist visa and Hindi na kumuha ng OEC) and then mag apply ng passport renewal sa Australia na?? While still on working visa?? Thanks po
@berkkiRN Nothing different sa PR holder na nag-renew ng passport onshore...

@Mia hi sis so OK lang Jan na ko mag renew? ? Sa August p kc ako cguro makapag apply fr a working visa, by January 2019 need ko na irenew passport ko so nasa NSW n ko by that time.. D nmn sila mag question like bat d ako dumaan ng agency?? Thank u in advance
@berkkiRN Except for some specific visas that require that the applicant be offshore to be granted the working visa (I presume you mean TSS-482) can be granted while onshore. If you enter Australia with a visitor visa and apply for a TSS visa, you will be automatically granted a bridging visa which will take effect when your visitor visa expires and the TSS visa has not been granted yet.
However, as @Mia has said, better check your passport validity before leaving. From where will you be coming from before entering Australia? I noticed you put Qatar in your profile location. If coming directly from there, I don't think that they bother checking your passports validity however if coming from the Phils, our immigration is quite insistent that passports have at least six months validity when leaving the country.

@cucci@Mia thanks po sa mga reply, I still have 12 months p naman, July 2019 exp date. Balak ko mag travel this August or maybe earlier. Thank u so much
If it were me, I would renew ASAP sa Pinas... 10-year passport validity na eh, I'd rather be inconvenienced now than later... para wala nang change details sa future.
