@Amie2018here can you define "not pricey" school? pag tafe schools po ang alam ko nasa AUD 7k per sem, and yung length of study depende kung diploma or advanced diploma in hospitality management ang kukunin (2-2.5 years). Yung commercial cookery typically 1.5 years of study if nakapackage with certificate III in commercial cookery.

As for PR pathway, pwede nya i-nominate yung Chef as occupation. Sa mga napagtanungan kong culinary schools, they recommend na at least 2 years talaga mag-aral para makuha yung 5 points sa Australian study requirement and para magqualify for temporary graduate visa (485 visa, valid for 18 months if diploma/advanced diploma ang tinapos).

28-02-2022 Submitted application to AACA for skills assessment (OQA Stage 1)
27-05-2022 Received skills assessment outcome (Suitable/Positive)
    Next steps: PTE exam

@Amie2018here Wala nman pong age limit pagdating sa vocational or degree studies so ok lng po yun. D ko po sure kung yung HRM courses nya ay maccredit, pwede nya itanong sa culinary school. But typically for retraining or shifting courses mga 1-2 years study din yun. Yung 2 years recommended sya para nga po makakuha ng additional points pag mag-aapply ng PR visa.

As for SOP, I'm not sure if irerequire ng school. Wala po akong sample kasi na specific for culinary studies.

@marfrance Yes, I'm taking up postgrad studies in architectural science. You might want to check first if cook/chef occupation is still in the MLTSSL, because in order to apply for Graduate Work stream, you have to nominate an occupation that's on the MLTSSL, and you need to have a positive skills assessment for that nominated occupation.
