Nurse applicant and RMT husband

queenie052288queenie052288 PhilippinesPosts: 10Member
hello! kindly help and enlighten me.. I am a nurse and my husband is a medical technologist/laboratory technician. I would like to ask 3 questions:

1.) if ever I'll be granted with PR visa under 189/190, will he automatically be also given the same visa?

2.) does he need skills assessment and english test as well?

3.) Am I eligible to additional 5 points in PR point system under partner skills from his present occupation?

to all those who have the same experience, please help us, as we are applying this without an agent, thank you :)

Thank you!

Are you already an Australian RN? If you are and at least have 65 points for migration, then you can apply for Skill Select and wait for your invitation to apply for PR with your hubby and child if you have one.

*He’ll be granted a PR Visa as long as you declare him in your PR application.
*He needs Skills Assessment and English Test if you will claim partner points and Yes, you are eligible to claim 5 points as long as he gets a positive skills assessment.

Here’s the thread for his occupation:

@queenie052288 Yes and he might even need to take the exam for his occupation to get a positive skills assessment. Pls see the link posted above.
Btw, You will have to undergo skills assessment as well. Without skills assessment you’ll not be eligible to apply for PR.
I agree with @fgs that you have to read. Unfortunately, It’s not as simple as just handing in a paper application.

Thanks @Cassey for answering again. I just felt disappointed with @queenie052288 for not reading properly your previous comment. What I meant is "read read read" the comments before asking again another question. Her queries has been answered and then asking the same question? Though applicant do need to read info from homeaffairs website not just relying on forums. Afterall, what we can share are only our opinions based on our experiences.

@fgs chill po sir/maam! You should probably know the feeling of asking for the first time about any information and u just want to make sure kasi parang kahit nabasa mo na parang di mo maiintindihan until you finally figure it out. You dont have to be rude though. Yup i did read and if you dont want to supply details you can just not comment po. Naiintindihan ko na po ngayon ang process after asking same question to helpful and patient people who probably understood that I am a asking in behalf of my husband. I am a nurse by the way, not same profession as yours.

We understand na lahat tayo dumaan sa ganitong situation na we dont know the process.

You’re not oblige by all means to answer anyway.

The second or repeat question i addressesd was for further clarification. No worries though. ✌
