During the lodgement ng visa, hinanap sa akin ng agent to have it ready just incase hanapin ng CO hindi din sya hinanap. pero naka kuha namn ako kasi hindi ko pa nakuha yung akin that time kasi overseas, noong umuwi ako pick up ko lang sa PRC.

@batman @Pyche05 the prc certificate helps in recognising your qualification as equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree especially for those who studied in institutions under section 2 and 3. That’s the main purpose why it’s beneficial to present it.

Good day. Currently, I have 75 points (20 for English, 15 for education, 15 for work experience, and 25 for age). I notice that the cut off for Accountants is 80 points, meaning I am 5 points short. I am single, no partner, has no Masters, and has never been to AU. I am a CMA (US) and a Philippine CPA and from what I understand, they're also not accredited in AU. I got my assessment in CPA Australia and I am qualified to be an Associate member if I activate my membership. My question is: is being an Associate member of CPA Australia grant me additional points? Is there any other possible path for me to get the additional 5 points?

Any answer/advice will be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

@ianriv33 apply for visa 190, state will give you five points for visa 190 application. kaya 80 ka na, pipila pa muna baka may mas nauna sau na 80 at earlier nag pasa ng EOI.

associate member wont give you additional points.

Hi @mcril22. May alam ka bang testing center dito sa UAE for the native language translator? Baka pwede natin iconsider and hopefully not that far with PTE in terms of difficulty...and by the way I have not seen any comment here in the forum na nagsabi kung nakapagtake na sila.. so literally I have no idea as to the content of the test at kung may available review materials..

@JohndAU you need to check NAATI. That’s the test you need to take. I’ve no Filipino clients who have taken it. It’s difficult and expensive as well. Not sure if it’s even worth going for it. Good luck!

@JohndAU 80 points are for 189 visa Lang naman since this Visa type is subject to points priority. 190 isn’t so Just go for 190 Visa.

By the way @RheaMARN1171933, is there any recent invite for a 75-pointer Accountant under 190? From what I've seen on immitacker, recently invited were also 80 pointers.

@JohndAU to be honest, we (agents) don’t really use/rely on the information on immitracker. 190 invites depend on the state sponsoring. The reality is, No one can really tell there chances of getting selected by the state for nomination. Once your state sponsorship is granted, the 190 invite comes automatically. The best advise I could give is the higher the points, the better and don’t be fixated with 189 Visa. Good luck!

@Pipaygee Hi. I'll try my best to give you the overview here na lang. Sa mga makakabasa po, please feel free to correct me if I get it wrong.
STEPS (assuming 189 or 190 aapply-an mo ha, kasi yun ang inapplyan ko.

    1. Take English exam. PTE pinakamadali. Aim for the superior score para makuha mo yung max points na 20. 950 AED ata bayad dito.

    2. While preparing, collate all your documents. Nandun sa Homeaffairs.au yung list.

    3. Once you get your result sa PTE at superior naman or satisfied ka, get a skills assessment from a recognized authority. I'm an accountant so sa CPAA ako nagpa-assess.

Not too sure). Walang bayad dito.

    5. Depending on your points and your profession, at kapag okay ka, makakareceive ka ng Invitation to Apply for Australian Visa. In my case mga 3 months ako nag-antay. 80 points ako.

    6. Once invited, you have 60 days to lodge your visa application. Dito na yung magpapa-medical ka (please check other discussions regarding this. 1 year ang validity ng med exam results so kung uuwi ka ng pinas, dun ka na magpagawa kasi 7k php lang. Nasa Homeaffairs yung list ng accredited clinics. In my case, mej shunga, dito na ko nakapagpa-medical, sa Dubai London Clinic lang pwede, AED1,250 each) tapos magbabayad ka ng visa fee (2 kami so mga 15k AED plus)

    Good luck! :)

I'm planning to take PTE againm(2nd attempt) at kung papalarin makasuperior pra maka 80(189) and 85(190). Kasi db po may 60 days lng to submit the application. Di po nmin alam kung need b tlga xang mkapagmedical or any process related to filling ng application n kelangan nya tlga magawa pra makapag lodge kami at di ma-forfeit ung invitation. Salamat po sa mga sasagot. Sobrang mkakatulong po ito sa amin lalo n po need n po nya magreport sa December and to confirm n sasampa xa. Salamat po

@M_k_ have you actually been to the immigration website and read through the visa application process and requirements? If you haven’t, I suggest that’s the first thing you need to do before anything else to help you understand the entire process. You’ll find that the English test is one of the first things you need to do before even getting an invitation to apply for a visa. Good luck :)

@chenel010305 it is now but by the time you finish your course maybe it isn’t anymore. I’vevaleays been vocal about not being a fan of student Visa being a pathway to PR despite the fact that Can’t you apply for Pr visa now? You don’t need to be a CPA anyway. You just have to have a qualification equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree and have studied the mandatory subjects.
