Wow, good for you! I guess you have to ask your agent about it. It's best to have the work visa kase if on student visa part time ka lang pwede. Btw, what ask ano field ka nakahanap ng work?

@Malu hi, i think you still need to follow your visa conditions until your working visa has been granted, meaning you still need to enroll and follow the working hours. If you can engage an agent, they might have other option. I have read somewhere that their agent have cancelled their student visa and applied a bridging visa that entitles them to work. Not sure how this one works, but a MARA agent will guide you with the process.

@agentKams Thank you for your reply :) I'll check about this. Actually I am having a hard time to decide what to do on this. But I read somewhere that I should follow my student visa then wait for the working visa... I'll be finishing in 6 months time so maybe it will be timely.

    Good day.. Newbie here

I am Jamaica Rose Simbul, 29 years old, married with one 3-year old son. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines since 2011 with 6 years experience as a staff nurse and company nurse. I am.currently employed as a company nurse in a construction company for 3 years now. My uncle wants me to work in his aged care facility and I am also interested. Currently, I am looking for best options possible for me so I can start processing my papers. I have friends from college whom I am talking to that are currently working in australia but they are giving me different answers. I tried checking the on the interent but I am confused with some of the information given. I was hoping that you could help me with this one.

Thank you so much and God bless!

@Malu from my agent's words, it will take 18 - 24 months to process yung company sponsored visa. We have same situation, pero mas pinili ko nlang na ako mismo magprocess ng 489 after my studies para wala rin "utang na loob" afterwards. Good luck sa visa mo.

@cassandra2019 You may want to check this out for some info on how your employer can become a visa sponsor... medyo mahaba kaya post ko na lang link.

    https://www.workvisalawyers.com.au/services/employer-sponsored-visas/tss-482-visa.html

    Key points are:

    • employer must be an approved business sponsor
    • occupation must be in the skilled occupation list
    • fulfill Labour Market Testing (LMT) - This requires the business to test local labour markets to demonstrate effort to recruit local workers before deciding to sponsor an overseas worker for the required position.
    • need English exam unless exempted

Hello Ms. Cassandra. Thank you.
