Hi guys,
Need your opinion po. Lodged EOI last December 21 and awaiting for invitation, hoping it will come soon. Total points ko po is 70 for visa 189 and 75 for 190. Ask ko lang po coz currently in the Philippines. My business visa will be expiring March 16. What do you think is best po to wait for my PR in Pinas or in AU na kasi i heard mas mabilis daw if onshore. Please help po.

Pareho lang ang waiting time either nasa offshore ka or onshore. Mas convenient lang sa onshore if you have just finished your studies here in Au and you have to wait for some documents. But otherwise, being onshore or offshore doesn’t really have weight on the invitation or moreover on the grant. Getting the invite will depend on your points. The higher your points, the better chances you’ll have for an invitation. If you can work here in Au while waiting for an invite then it might be worth it to wait here but if not then waiting offshore isn’t bad at all. As with the grant, waiting time depends on how complete your docs are and how accurate the claiming of points.

If you apply onshore prior to your business visa expiry, a bridging visa will be issued. The bridging visa will be activated once the business visa expires making your stay in Australia lawful while waiting for the result of your migrant visa application.

I dont think theres a problem coming back to Au after your invite using your business visa....Bridging visa is only issued to those applying onshore. This will be issued right after you send your PR visa application. If you apply offshore, you can still comeback on your valid business visa but will ask to leave Australia if your PR visa is ready for decision.
