I everyone! I am using this app and it’s very helpful pero ang hirap ng repeat sentence hindi ko ma catch up kasi ang taas ng sentences na iba. Any tips po nito and sa retell lecture na wala din akong ma comprehend.

Sidenotes:

After almost 2 years and 20 attempts of battling PTE, sa wakas PTE SURRENDERED! Saktong sakto sa pagkaubos ng ipon ko. Hahaha. Di pa rin ako makapaniwala feeling ko bagsak pa rin ako sa Listening kasi 79 points lang, pero at least ok na rin kasi tapos na. Sorry sa mga di ko pa nareplayan kasi nag focus muna ako sa review. I'll catch up na lng.

Nag exam ako kahapon, March 12, 2019 @5PM sa Trident Makati akala ko nauna lang kami ni ateng na Chinese sa exam center, so yun, nag exam na kami yun pala 2 lang talaga kaming mag eexam sa session na yun. Sa palagay ko big advantage, less distractions at will din ni LORD para makapasa na din ako. Nga pala, buti ang ginamit nmen kahapon is yung plantronics headset na. Siguro nabago lang yung gamit na headset nung second to the last take ko kasi sobrang crowded sa Trident Makati nung time na yun at may kasabayan kasi kaming nag eexam din ng HAAD naman.

Though marami ng nag share ng tips, tricks and strategies nila sa forum na ito. I grab ko na rin opportunity na ishare strategies na nagwork saken para di lang ako ang matuto sa PTE. Sa dami ng attempts ko sana marami kayong mapulot sa mistakes and experiences ko sa PTE Journey ko.

Speaking:

Read Aloud

Consider yung punctuations and pauses (in short consider ito na parang stoplight sa kalsada), isa ito sa tinitignan ng computer and pampataas ito ng score for both Speaking and Reading, based on my experience.
Basahin ng mahinahon at eksaktong lakas lang ng boses, wag sobrang lakas na tipong sumisigaw (maawa sa katabi please) at wag naman sobrang hina na bumubulong ka lang.
Iwasan din yung may mahabang pauses kapag nagbabasa.
To give hope sa iba, nag stutter ako ng madaming beses dito nitong last take ko since na conscious talaga ako kung ok ba speaking na ginagawa ko that time dahil galing ako sa 76 na speaking score, which is naging dahilan kung baket di ko na superior yung second to the last exam ko. Huwag isipin yun kung nagkamali ka ng madaming beses sa part na to, makakaapekto lang yun sa mga ibang item tasks kapag inisip mo ng inisip na di mo masusuperior exam mo dahil pumalya ka dito. In my experience, kayang habulin yung score sa Speaking sa Describe Image at Retell Lecture though napansin ko mejo malaki binaba ng score ko from Reading dahil sa stuttering ko sa part na to.

To give hope sa iba, itong last take ko, nang hula ako ng 2 items as in malayong malayo yung sinabi ko. Example ito yung sinabi ng audio "The library is located on the other side of the campus behind student center." Tpos eto response ko "The teacher is teaching mathematics until lunch time." Siguro ito isang reason kaya naging pasang awa ako sa Listening at nasa boundary at laylayan, which is 79 lang.

Epektib templates dito nila boss @Heprex & boss @batman, though bumuo ako ng sariling template ko from their templates kasi may part na nabubulol ako sa ibang words.

Mejo madali lang to, makinig kahit papaano sa youtube, madaming questions doon na lumalabas sa actual exam.
Di ko lang sure kung effective dito yung answer na "I don't know" na gaya ng sinasabi ng iba.
Just give a wild guess kapag di alam. May contribution to sa Listening kaya wag din I underestimate.

at yun, proven effective sya, check nyo scores ko for Writing almost consistent na 79+ yung score ko dahil sa strategy na yan.

Hindi na ako nag paparaphrase sa part na to, as in copy and paste lang from the text itself then combined ko yung mga nakuha kong sentences using FANBOYS or (For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So) pero madalas ko gamitin jan ay yung "So" madalas din ",which" kapag may icocombine pa akong another sentence. In technical term, for me, considered na paraphrase yan kahit na word for word na kinopy mo dalawang sentence as is, as long as gagamitin mo ng connectors gaya ng sinabi ko sa taas.
Stick ako sa 40-55 words, to maximize points sa Writing and Reading.

Umisip kayo ng words na related sa essay. For example, ang topic na napunta eh E-Books vs. Library Books, in that case, nirelate ko yung problems like eye constrain, diseases related to eyes due to long term gadgets exposure.
Pede magimbento ng statistics dito na false like "Jack Ma, a successful businessman, states that he is the most wealthiest billionaire in this century."
Damihan examples if kulang kayo sa word count.

My Response:

Nowadays, there is an ongoing debate between people whether humanities role is vital in today's changing world, or it is the opposite. Although some analysts opine that humanities does not contribute well in honing the character of every individual, I personally believed that the study of it is a great way to learn morals, ethical and ideological thing. This essay will elucidate the assertion of both sides of the arguments before deducing an axiomatic conclusion.

To begin with, the study of humanities is necessary these days because of globalization. Moreover, it gives us insight on how different people react to others. As an example, Donald Trump, the president of United States, usually understands how to handle different things because he has a background of humanities. Thus, it can be seen that humanities can strengthen the abilities to work and handle different things.

Conversely, those who argue that humanities can have a drawback when we study it has different standpoint. Firstly, people claimed that the knowledge in humanities can raise different views and perspectives on one thing, which can make the situation worst.

Furthermore, countries usually have protesters, which is against the will of the leaders because of their different views due to studying humanities. Therefore, they believed that it is not a good thing to learn humanities.

In conclusion, considering what has been discussed above, it is indeed important to have a

knowledge on humanities since it can help you to work with other people. I would strongly

recommend the study of it since it can boost your ideas and knowledge on different human

perspectives.

Check nyo yung signature ko, may isang exam attempt ako na namiss ko etong part na to at sobrang baba yung Listening and Writing ko.
Nagttype ako ng mabilis dito at in short forms like first 3 letters of each word.
Iwasan makalimutan ang CAPITALIZATION AND PERIOD!

Additional Tips & Strategies:

First of all PRAY. Big help to, once you pray, you worry less at binibigay mo na kay LORD kung ano maging resulta ng exam.
Magbigay ng EFFORTS FOR PRACTICE kung target ay SUPERIOR score, I learned it in a hard way. I rush in getting 79+ na kulang kulang ang practice, yun kitang kita resulta sa dami ng takes ko.
Huwag maging nerbyoso sa exam, be calm. May tendency kasi na yung focus mo mawala kapag kinakabahan. Para sa akin, sa dami ng takes ko, ninenerbyos na lang ako kapag bubuksan ko na yung Score Result, kapag sa exam nawala na ang nerbyos ko. 🙂)
Naimproved ko yung Listening ko actually dahil sa Castbox na podcast. May minarathon akong fiction novel doon, which is yung Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery, which is sa isang chapter madaming iba't ibang speaker ang nagsasalita plus Canadian accent sila, nung una plano ko yung TedTalks pero laging isang speaker lang nagsasalita kaya mejo matatagalan kung doon ako mag hone ng skills kaya yun di na ako nakinig ng TedTalks at instead doon na ko sa fiction na sinabi ko ako nag marathon. Pangalan din ni Lucy Maud Montgomery ang isa sa ginawa kong example sa essay ko. 🙂)

Last Note:

Alam ko feeling ng pagiging disappointed kapag di narereach yung desired scores, sa 20 takes ko daming beses ko naranasan yan at ako na ata ang pinaka matagal na gumraduate sa PTE sa forum na to, sinuko ko yung hobby ko na maglaro ng PS4, manood ng anime at minsan sa family gathering and reunion hawak ko yung cp ko makapag review lang and parang di worth na ninanakaw na ni PTE yung hobby at enjoyment mo. Parang nagkatrauma na nga ako sa pagbubukas ng PDF files kapag iview ko na scores from PTE, tpos laging nawawala ang saya dahil di namimeet desired scores. I just keep encouraging myself na ok lang sablay sa English ng maraming beses basta pogi nman. (Pagbigyan nyo na ko.) 🙂) My encouragement is, don't worry laging may rainbow after the rain. Basta pag pray mo lang maige kay LORD and do what you can. 🙂 Maraming maraming salamat sa inyong lahat, madami ng forum members ang tumulong sken dito since 2017 up to this time, napag iwanan na ko ng iba at yung iba nsa AU na. Di na ata kakasya kung imemention ko usernames nyo isa - isa pero alam nyo kung gaano ako nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat. @lecia thank you so much po. Haha, di ko po naapply yung tinuro mo sken sa Pronunciation dahil ang baba ng score ko sa Pronunciation, pero nakatulong para ma boost yung confidence ko sa pagsasalita. Maraming salamat po talaga. 🙂
