Kaya 60 per week eh pa six-pack 6 pack ako bumili. Average price ng 6 pack eh 15 to 18 tapos 4x a week ako tumoma.

Pogi yan tsaka tsikboy hahaha!

dito sa WA, if you availed of the First Home Owner Grant when you bought your house, kailangan tumira ka sa bahay na yun for atleast 6 months on the first 12 months... bago mo paupahan..

Yung mga pinauupahan ko eh di applicable yung rule na nabanggit mo kasi binili ko sila with the intention of renting out at investment na sila from the start. Tsaka di ako aware na me restriction.

It is not required , let just say you are maximizing your money if you earn more than 150k from what others have mentioned

As per our accountant has explained in its simplest form

IF you don't have a Health Insurance you pay $$$ + $$$ Levy to the commonwealth when you file your tax

IF you have then you still pay that $$$ to the Health Insurance ( and you get to have the benefits s) and $$$ levy to the government

    So its your choice

it depend on how much you are earning... graduated ang tax meaning the higher your salary bracket, the bigger your tax rate will be.

similar sa Pinas... and other countries for that matter.

Mabigat nga... I paid $770 last February for our car; registration lang ito plus the basic insurance.

The insurance is only for liabilities on other people if ever you are in an accident; third party liability on vehicles are paid separately (mine is at circa $35/month).

I did not get a comprehensive as it will balloon to $75/month - drive carefully nalang sa 14 year old car ko... Ahahaah!! :)

I realised that I started this thread and I still not have shared our budget here in Australia.

    1) Rent: $1,520 (2 bedroom villa located 10km north of MEL CBD)
    2) Internet: $80 (iinet at 100gb/month)
    3) Third Party Car Insurance: $37.76 (c/o AAMI)
    4) Petrol: $150
    5) Transportation: $132 (Myki with Zone 1 pass for myself; si misis nil kasi hatid sundo ko sa office)
    6) Health Insurance: $252.90 (c/o Medibank - this will increase by more than 5% next month)
    7) Grocery: $325 (varies but we budget it as this)
    8) Electricity: $75 (average past months)
    9) Gas: $20 (average past months)
    10) Water: $40 (average past months)
    11) Mobile Phone: $100 (I am on contract while wife is on prepaid)

Total: $2,732.66 (exacto pa talaga) - but we set aside $3,000 per month as our household expenditure.

As part of so-called preparing for our future retirement (which won't occur until another 25 years cguro...), we allot altogether $750/month as salary sacrifice to be placed in our superannuation fund.

Life is definitely more expensive here that what we were used to in Singapore but you will get by naman... By the way, the above expenses are for a couple with no kids.

Hi @TasBurrfoot, monthly yung electricity, gas and water bill figures above right?
Mura lang pala ang utility bills master?

Ung sa Salary Packaging master, inavail nyo sya agad agad nung makakuha kayo ng work?
Mas bumababa ba talaga ang tax kapag nag salary packaging?
Hindi ko pa rin kasi maintindihan, sa case ko kasi Novated Car Lease and Salary Sacrifice through Super lang ang option ng Salary Packaging.
And since hindi ko pa sya magets kung paano bababa ang tax ko, hindi ko pa sya inaavail.

    Hope you could help.

I find it expensive - basic lang kasi yang utilities namin; unlike sa SIngapore before na aircon kami every night from 10PM to 7AM... :)

I availed kaagad the salary sacrifice to top up my superannuation contribution when I got my job last year. Bumababa ang tax in the way that instead of my usual tax rate, I just pay 15% of what I salary sacrificed as contribution tax.

To put it in perspective; for example 30% and tax mo, the amount you salary sacrificed will only be taxed at 15%... Yun nga lang, this will be for the long haul as you cannot touch your super until retirement.

I also have novated car lease but I did not bother with this as happy naman ako sa 14 yo car ko currently. I know the concept but there are some question marks pa.

Thanks for your suggestion @JCSantos; this was our only option before when we rented our own place. Without a credit history, not a lot took us in even if I volunteered to pay 3 months in advance...

When we get our own place cguro, saka na ako maghanap ng other deals. Naka lock-up din kasi kami ngayon.

$39 for 100gb is naked broadband I reckon?

All in all I think umaabot kmi 3800-4K a month. This is for a family of 3 (my son is just 2 years old), living in a 2BR apt unit in Sydney. By the way this includes mortgage repayments of a car and my driving lessons (huhuhu). Ung insurance and rego, I just paid in cash when we bought.

That alone I guess is tantamount to paying a 2nd rent...
