Hi po again , pede po sana question lang sa situation namen.

Right now, meron na kameng bridging visa. Medyo confusing lang kasi, diba mag take effect ang bridging visa kapag nag expired na ung 489 visa namen. We still have 2yrs para sa 489 visa.
Question is, ung bingay nilang bridging visa pede naba namen gamitin un to apply for Medicare or we have to wait na mag expire ung 489 visa namen bago namen pede ma enrol ang medicare.
    Thanks in advance.

Hey @mitchiekoy congratulations on lodging your visa! Yey! You don't need to wait. Download the medicare enrolment form, fill it up, and go to certrelink with a copy of your bridging visa to enrol for medicare :) You will receive an interim medicare card (blue). Once you're granted PR, it will be upgraded to a permanent medicare card (green) :D

Hello po same po situation namin but it's 457 visa...kung magaaply po ba kmi ng medicare can we cancel our BUPA overseas health cover? nasa visa condition po ng 457 visa namin condition 8501 we must maintain fully
comprehensive health insurance while in Australia pano po yun?
    • filsgoz
Hi rtasani. Nope you cannot cancel your insurance. You are still under 457 and therefore bound by its condition. You can only do that when you are granted a permanent visa or another substantive visa that does not have that condition. Hope that helps :)

Hi filgoz, thanks for the reply

hi again, is it possible to convert to resident cover as it is cheaper in case we've got our medicare na
    • filsgoz
hi rtasani. di ako familiar sa BUPA insurance e but i would suppose no kasi your residency status has not changed naman. not yet at least until the grant of the permanent visa.

Hello, may question lang po regarding 887 application.
We were about to lodge our application end of July, ung sa medicare ba automatic na ung magkaron na kame? Or do we need to wait sa advice ng CO?
    Thank you very much po

hi @mitchiekoy. Kapag nakapag-apply ka na ng 887, meron kang ma-receive na bridging visa notification grant. dalhin mo yan together with the medicare enrolment form sa nearest centrelink/medicare centre and you will be enrolled sa medicare:)

New SimplyStall Mobile App!

Hi everyone!

I'm very happy to announce PinoyAu Forum's new app called "SimplyStall" . It's a new Gumtree like service for Pinoys in Australia but in a way better!

So if you have any items just collecting dust? Why not convert it to cash?

If you are selling new items or products or wish to give an item away for free then this might be a good avenue for you.

This project is a new initiative to unify and have a common portal for Pinoys in Australia to sell and share stuffs.

It's now available on Google Play and Apple App Store.

Please do try it out. I'd appreciate if you can help me spread the good news and start selling your old or new stuffs.
