After March2014 when my Case Officer asked me for updated credentials like tax records, employment records and my new dependent's information, wala na ako update. 🙁

I filed for Visa 175 last June2009. Yes, that was 5 years ago.

I only got an update from them asking for updated medical records starting Dec2013 up until March2014. And then after that, wala na naman movement. Wala din feedback maski sa email.

Meron din ba umabot ng ganito katagal sa inyo?

Kung ako nasa katayuan mo tatawag tlaga ako sa DIBP kung ano status at dapat gawin para matapos na. Kung may pera at pasok ka sa bagong visa classifications i might as well apply for new. Mainipin pa naman ako hehehe. baka nag Canada or New Zealand na ako nyan sa sobrang tagal.

Hi Guys/Gals, i'm not sure if this is the appropriate threads to seek your advises regarding any actual experiences or cases to pursue his application with the following scenario (estimated) for my brother in-law. Let's say na-meet nya po lahat ito, ano po ang visa path nya and ano po ang chances na maging successful ang visa application nya? He is worried about his age especially for securing the state nomination.

Age (45 yrs old) : 0 point

Experience (IT Job): 15 points

Qualification: 15 points

English (Band 8): 20 points

State Nomination: 10 points (he got a aussie citizen brother in Sydney)

Total Pass Mark: 60 points

@cvetu2004 depende po sa nominated occupation and case officer. sad to say, he met the criteria pero based on the current reports for subclass 489, if im not mistaken, those with 70 points pa lang iniinvite nila so depende din sa mga mangyayari after 1st of july.

@arcie09 Mas advisable na kasama na po ang family sa application nyo. Mas less na pag asikaso and gastos po.

@johnvangie and vhoythoy, thank you po sa reply...anyway ang concern ko kasi masyadong malaki ung babayaran sa immigration nasa almost 400K for family of 4. and the fact that pagdating mo dun maghahanap pa ng work at the same time ipapasok pa sa school ung mga bata. hirap naman nun na isugal ung 400K, just in case lang na malasin and imagine hinde pa kasama ung dadalhin mong budget pang gastos once you already at AU specially sa case ko kasi wala po kaming relative doon.

@arcie09 hi... I would suggest isama mo na lahat ng dependents sa application mo. Anyway, pwede mo pa nman silang ibalik sa pinas after ng initial entry mo sa oz. For sure at some stage within the 5 yrs, settled ka na sa oz. Di natin alam kc always nag-iiba ang rules.God will make a way...

You need to gamble and take the risks. Importante may visa na kaung lahat. Kahit ikaw muna then sunod nlang pamilya mo after. Being OFW for 5 years, only now i realised the value of being permanent resident in a country. Yung PR from Australia is a privilege wag mo sayangin ang opportunity na maisama mo ang pamilya mo. Besides habang tumatagal lalong maghihigpit ang rules for migration at the same time mas lalong tataas ang babayaran mo. Money is not everything kikitain mo din to, mas mabuti ng may peace of mind. Hello! Sorry, my question does not belong to this thread, but does anyone have a link to conversation/s relating to 'spouse application' within the Skilled Migration process?

The DIAC pdf doesn't say much, and I need to know information such as

(1) the requirements that the spouse needs to secure

(2) do I need to create a separate application for my spouse (eg visa subclass 820 and 801) or will my application for visa subclass 189 suffice? (kailangan ba AU citizen na yung primary applicant to apply for the spouse VISA? or is there a way na sabay kayong magm-migrate?)

I'd appreciate if anyone can provide the answers directly. Feel free to PM me. Thanks in advance!

Also, I don't know if I'm qualified as of the moment as I only have two years experience. Should I wait for my third year before starting my application? And how much will the total fees be? Appreciate it if I could receive a response from you guys. Thanks!

A skills assessment is required for lodging a valid visa application. you will need this once you get invited to apply, that is after you have submitted your EOI. first step is for you to get your skills assessed. so if you are Mechanical Engg graduate and working as a Mechanical engr most likely ang skills assessing body mo is Engineers Australia (IEA). a min. of 6 in each band for the ielts is required para makapag paassess ka with IEA. you can refer to this link page 16 (Section C) for the IEA CDR requirements :
