question po.. I've recently lodged my application for GSM 175 visa but I'm a bit wary if it'll get approved.. Does DIAC assess your experience duration based on the ACS Skills Assessment Results or based on your experience duration on the day you lodged your visa application? Nung nagpa-assess kasi ako parang 4years lang kasi yung experience na ni-consider nila but since I've been continuously working, my work experience now more than meets the minimum requirements for me to obtain the points I need. Hope somebody could clarify things for me. Thanks! 🙂

Although DIAC will look at the work experience reflected on your skills assessment, still your CO will rely on the COE/Reference letter you presented at the time you lodge your visa application.

Example of how ACS computes Work eperience:

Nominated Occupation: Business Analyst

Jan 2002 - Jan 2008 Analyst Programmer = 50% (3 yrs)

Jan 2008 - Jan 2011 Business Analyst = 3 yrs

For ACS, your SOLID work experience to your nominated occupation is 6 yrs only.

For DIAC, your overall work experience relevant to your nominated occupation is 9 yrs.

source: Friend's skills assessment and his visa grant letter of the new point system. If he was not granted 9 yrs work experience he would've fallen short of 5 pts subject to visa refusal.

meron ba ditong nakapag-lodge after july 1, 2011? kasi i noticed that those who lodged before that date, mabilis ung processing.

can anyone confirm, gaano katagal kung beyond that date?

AFter July 2011, meron nang nag-lodge ng application. More or less 1 month lang visa granted na kapag STATE SPONSORED. For visa 175, wala pang updates.

@jaero: hi, andito na naman akong suki mo. hehe. ah ganun ba, cge, w8 ko n lng muna advise ng CO para hnd nako mag doble gastos, take it from the experienced ika nga hehe. bale sa Jan 7 IELTS ko, after ng result saka pa lng ako mag pa assess? or pa assess nako ng december while waiting for IELTS? nu b mgnda? by the way, san pala pwede makita kung anung assessing body for my occupation? chemist po ang nominated occupation ko. tnx!

@tootzkie, talaga? more or less 1 month visa grant na? anong state if u don't mind? 176 din kc aapplayan namin, pinagpipiliian ko either Victoria and WA, pareho na ako granted sa both states. Hopefully first week ng Dec makapag lodge na. Hinihintay ko pa kc IELTS ng fiancee ko, Dec 3 pa xa mag IELTS eh. so kapag maganda assessment nia sa exam, lodge na kami or else, mag uulit uli to get rid of the 2nd payment. by the way, dba visa grant ka na? saang state mo balak mag settle down? cheers

@unanimous21 kahit anong states, 176/475. Once na-lodge mo ang application 3 days to 2 weeks my CO ka na. Then kapag may NBI ka na at mabilis ang ang processing ng medical mo, visa grant na.

@gemini23 : it depends on your assessing authority. Visit their website, some of them require IELTS upfront.

@tootzkie, hopefully ganyan nga ang timeline, magdilang anghel ka sana,hehe. teka panu ba kami kokontakin ng CO? by email lng ba? kc kapag by phone i'm afraid i cannot be reached whole month of dec until first week of january kc few days after maglodge ng visa me and my fiancee are flying to India-Nepal-Bhutan. Be back dito sa Maldives tentative on 10th Jan 2012.

mga sir..mga madam may tanong po ako pwede ba gamitin yung credit card ng sister ko nasa oz pambayad ng assessment fee and visa lodgement..sa pangalan po niya..primary applicant hubby ko po..maraming salamat sa mga magrereply.. 🙂

by the way, paki clarify naman guys kung pano ung certified true copy of documents. ang plan ko kasi, i scan ko ng colored ung original documents tapos i print at pa notary. i consider kaya un na certified true copy? tnx!

Sa visa application po, unless mag-paper based application ka, no need to have documents certified. Just make sure colored yun original documents mo, pwede na po sya just have to scan them for online based application.

Iba usapan naman sa ACS skills assessment, unless original documents ang ipapasa mo, kailangan pa-notaryo. Ang ginawa ko po is photocopy lang ng original documents, then dinala ko sa abogado (notary public), compare lang nila yun original and photocopied document then dry seal na nila yun and stamp ng certified copy of original.

I-google mo o search mo sa yahoo yung VETASSES kung kelangan na agad nila ng IELTS.

@Bryann: ah, so ok lng pala na scan n lng. mag online application n lng ako sa VETASSESS kasi may discount compared sa paper-based. hehe. tnx sa info! =)
