Basta alam ko parang 60-65 points ako. Nag apply muna ako as 190 sa nt then they send invite for 489 rather.

Good Morning to all!

Im new in this forum and I have some few questions with regards to the skills assessment.

I am a graduate of BS Psychology and obtained a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling. I am also a licensed Guidance Counselor. I have been working in an academic institution as a guidance counselor for more than 5 years now.

Recently I have a classmate that moved in to Australia and that made me decide to try acquiring a Visa for myself as well.

I've checked all possible state and territories where my skills or occupation is open and found 3 states. NT, ACT and NSW.

NT - Counsellor nec - 272199 (VETASSESS)
ACT - Student Counsellor - 272115(VETASSESS) (this will re-open in july 2016)
NSW - Educational Psychologist - 272312 (APS)

My first choice would be NSW since my dad and 2 half sisters are Aus citizens and they live in Sydney.

Second choice would be ACT because it near NSW

Last choice would be NT.

I have collected all necessary documents for skills assessment and now im ready to do the assessment.

This is my problem, Im not sure which skill or occupation should I get assessed? out of the three occupation the best match would be the Student Counsellor, followed by Counsellor and Educational Psychologist.

Will I pay double if I decide to get assessed on 1 and 2?
Should I choose NT or wait for ACT in July?
Is there a higher possiblity of approval in NSW since my dad and sisters live there?

Btw I was planning to get an agent but Im still not decided.

Any help or Input would be appreciated.

@Shyluck pwede na rin pala TOEFL with minimum scores of Listening: 12 Reading: 13 Writing: 21 Speaking: 18 for EA.

Good PM, I need your inputs with regards to the guidelines of ACT for nomination. I read their guideline regarding 190 Visa nomination and it states that

<blockquote>If you, or any dependents, are living or have lived in another Australian state or territory

within the last twelve months, you are not eligible to apply for ACT nomination. </blockquote>

I have a family member in Sydney, NSW (Dad and 2 half sisters) they ate technically not my dependents right? or are they? They are Australian Citizens btw.

hello!! masayang araw po. magtetake po ako ng IELTS BC sa june 25. isa po sa requirements eh passport or PRC id. mag paparenew pa lang po kasi ako ng PRC ID ko. so ang sinubmit ko po eh yung passport ko as my national ID. kaso di ko po napansin na bawal po pala may butas ng staplers. eh nanggaling po ako ng japan, twice na po as part of my work eh nilagyan lagyan po ng staplers upon entry sa airport, at yung mga tax free items na binili ko, iniaattach yung receipt sa passport at may stapler. so meron pong mga butas butas yung passport pages ko. ano po ba dapat kong gawin? d na po kaya ako makakatake ng exam?

British Council ba ang mismong nag-specify na bawal ang may butas ng stapler ang passport? The main purpose of bringing your passport/PRC ID on your IELTS Test Day is for identification. So, as long as your passport hasn't expired yet and your passport's bio page is intact, there shouldn't be any problems.

@sunflower yes po. nakaspecify sa kanilang confirmation email. uhm, siguro po magdala nlng ako ng other ID's ko like my PRC ID. maipaparenew ko naman na po. what do you think po?hoping hindi macancel yung pabook ko for the exam

Usually, kung ano yung ID na ginamit mo sa IELTS registration, yun rin yung hahanapin nilang form of identification on the test day. So kung passport number mo nakalagay, you should bring your passport. Otherwise, magpa-renew ka na ng PRC ID (meron na silang online renewal, and then you'll just claim your new ID from a PRC office). And then, you have to inform BC that you will be bringing your PRC ID as your mode of identification as opposed to your passport.

As an ofw madaming rceipts nan aka attach sa passport ko, when I took the IELTS with BC SG, wala nmn ako nagging problem.

@xiaomau82. Exactly, lalo na ung OWWA receipt na andoon sa likoran passport. may butas butas ng stapler bullet. Wala din namang naging problema. Ang OA lng din nila dyan ha.

gandang araw po sa inyo. ask ko lang po if ang SMAW or GMAW welders ay pasok po sa visa 189 or 190. kasi po ang meron po sa CSOL or SOL eh first class welders, or welders fitters. pareho po kaya yun?

@Cassey you won't need to withdraw it kasi it will automatically be locked after getting the invite and will be removed from skillselect database after the decision.
