hi A_GA2AU, d ako sigurado if my weight ba yun sa 489 visa ko eventually or sa future. Pero sabi nga ni ms. rhea eh panibagong stress at $$$ uli. Baka lang nmn ksi pde dahil bka mahirapan ako humanap work sa occupation ko sa current region na un.
Is your 489 granted? If yes, you cannot apply 190 anymore. Need mo na mag hantay ng 2 year to apply for 887. If you are still waiting for 489 grant, you can try to apply 190 while hndi pa nafafinalized ung 489 mo. Make sure to withdraw it if ever u lodged 190 na. Its really upto u honestly. Cheers!
I am not sure where you got this information from as last time I check the legislation, nothing prevents a 489 holder to apply for 190.
First of all, I have the understanding that @isa1826 hasn’t activated her 489 visa as yet, therefore it’s technically doable.
Regardless if the visa is activated, it is possible as they were some who did this many years ago. Once 190 is granted, 489 will be superseded. However, the reality of the recent developments would only show us that it wouldn’t be an easy strategy. Firstly, if one applies for 190, the state will ask if the applicant has other applications. The fact that there is a 489 grant which most likely be from a different state would definitely make the state doubt the applicant’s genuity to stay in their state. So in short, it’s far way more complicated, stressful and waste of time any money. I would just bluntly advice to just be happy and satisfied with what you’re given.
