Hi Ma'am, curious question lang po. Does it really matter po ba kung onshore or offshore yung applicant ? Hinde po ba yun mkakaaffect kung maiinvite ka or not?

IMO, depende po yan sa current situation/needs ng Australia. May nabasa ako before mas priority ang mga onshore applicants lalo nung kasagsagan ng covid. Pero sa current trend ngayon, marami na rin naiinvite na offshore. 🙂

Usual Country of Residence is where you currently live. Meron naman guide sa EOI mismo, click mo yung ? na button sa tabi ng label...

@iaiaia Since nasa AU ka na with a student visa, then your Usual Country of Residence must be AU. Hence, they would know that you're onshore.

Pwedeng isa lang pwedeng dalawa. Kung dalawa kayu magtetest tataas ang points niyo. More chances of getting invited. In my case I needed my husband PTE kasi kung hndi 60 lang points ko. Hindi ako magkuqualify sa required points.

Hmmm for starters, required points to qualify is 65 ( any occupation ito). But in terms of points per occupation, its a different situation. Sa mga trend before Engineers, accountants and ICT's need higher points like 80 pataas kasi yung competition is hard. there are occupations like me, na 65 lang but got invited so many times maybe because of less than 20 applicants in my occupation.

Paassess ka muna, Assessment takes time tlaga. Then you can study English exams while waiting for your assessment. That way, halos sabay sila lalabas. English and assessment are valid for 3 years ata if im not wrong. You cant create an EOI kung wala nitong dalawa.

I’m curious about the project reports or episode letters for skills assessment. Is this written by the applicant? What if the description of jobs are already indicated in the employment reference letter, do we need a separate file for project reports? Kindly enlighten how you did yours. Thank you very much.

Halu, sorry no idea po. sa Vetassess kasi ako nagpa assess. you can search in this forum yung mga para sa mga engineers. baka merong makatulong sayo dun. Cheers!

80 points won’t be enough nowadays 90 would be borderline...accountants need 100 points to get invited for 189visa. Although I have a client who got invited for 189 with 75 points, it all depends on the occupation. On the safe side, best to aim for as much points as possible.

Skills assessment is done by an assessing authority. Immigration Department has nothing to do with it. You need to have sorted your skills assessment prior to notifying immigration of your intent to migrate
