General Skilled Immigration Visa - Step By Step Process

Question po ulit regarding assessment. Ganito kasi ang situation ko, I was hired by Company A (Agency) last May2007-August2008, at nakaassigned ako sa Company B during this times. Then August2008, naabsurb ako ni Company B. Mag 5years na ko this coming August kay Company B. Gustong gusto ko na po talagang ipasa ang papers ko for assessment sa vetassess since kumpleto na lahat kaya lang kulang ng less than 2months para maging 5years experience ko kay Company B alone. Kung isasama ko naman ung Company A sa assessment, need ko pa magbayad para sa PTA.

Since nabasa ko dito sa forum na ung assessment usually inaabot ng 12weeks, ok lang kaya na di ko na i-tick yung PTA sa application ko? By the time na lumabas yung result ng assessment ko, more than 5years na ko nun kay Company B.
Si DIAC naman ang magbibigay ng points di po ba? Or should I say, ikaw ang magaassume ng points mo (education and experiences) based dun sa result ng assessment

hello all... nagrelease na ba c DIAC ng occupation ceiling for july 2013. sa skillselect naka-indicate na magrefresh.. pero hanggang ngayon wala pa din... so does it mean the same number per occupation code pa rin?

Guys, i am planning to lodge my 189 visa this saturday, puede ko na ba unahin kunin yung ibang requirement na nababasa ko dito sa forum like police clearance and medicals or dapat mag wait ako sa email ng CO after lodging?

@pmzinoz - medicals aftr lodging only, you need to print something online para sa clinic

police clearance depedne sa country, example sg needs letter from the CO..

good morning po! kasi po sa VETASSESS ako magpapa assess, di po nila kailangan ang IELTS don. Pero sa DIAC kailangan ang IELTS, ano po kaya ang kukunin ko na IELTS GT o ACAD po? please help. Internal Auditor po ang inonominate ko.Many thanks in advance.

Finally got my IELTS scores. okay naman - was hoping I'd get the 20 points, but okay na rin.

question to everyone:

I'm also looking at getting a State Sponsorship from Victoria. Should I get the Sponsorship first before I file the EOI? or should I file the EOI first?

Also, can I get an Sponsorship already before I get assessment from ACS?

Hello, does the school from where you have graduated has a big role to be able to pass in the assessment? Because my brother failed for the Vetassess assessment, although his qualification for his job experience and transcript of records are exceptional. He graduated from University of the East with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts and worked in multi-national companies here and in SG for almost 10yrs now. The Vetassess told him that his degree is only equivalent to a diploma degree in Australia. I also lodged my application last month for the assessment of my Pharmacy qualification with Australian Pharmacy Council, I'm working as a registered Retail Pharmacist for 14yrs now, I graduated from Manila Central University, maybe I won't also pass for the assessment,if they are after the school from where you graduated. Thanks

@imeetr - hi, did he get a Negative/Unsuccessful skills assessment?

or the educational qualification is only assessed as diploma?

@lock_code2004 The negative result was for his educational qualification- Bachelor's degree (Fine Arts) major in advertising accding to Vetassess this is only equivalent as a diploma course in Australia, but his skills assessment is good. He was thinking, because of the school that might have caused him to failed the assessment? What would you recommend for this? Thanks.

@imeetr - okay then it is not a "negative" assessment... don't call it negative result, because it is a positive assessment result, it's just that he got a lower educ qual assessment than what you are expecting..

many of the members here got the same assessment for educ qualification, because of several factors (school, curriculum content, grades, licensing requirements PRC, etc...)
but yes, on your first question... school has an impact on whether your degree in the PH will be assessed as equivalent to an AU degree or not..

<u><b>he can still proceed with the EOI visa application (assuming he will get 60pts): </b> </u>

so the only impact on his application is that, he cannot claim the equivalent AU degree = 15pts
based on the educ qualification assessment result , he can only claim equivalent to AU diploma = 10pts..

I recommend, calculate your EOI points.. and let's see..

@lock_code2004..hello po ulit. hindi po kasi ako board passer pero ang inonominate ko sana e internal auditor. nag email ako sa Vetassess kung okay lang mag pa assess ng internal auditor kahit hindi board passer eto naman ang sagot nila

You certainly do not have to have a CPA for the purpose of our skills assessment.

With regard to qualification, we only require tertiary educational qualifications.
