As long as you have the right visa (working rights), and qualified for the job, employers and recruitment agencies will contact you! I experienced this before. So try and try!
Anyways, they will also ask for your availability just in case they will offer you the job.
It is a + for you if you are here in Australia already since they would prefer their would-be employee settled already and will be focus on his/her job the very first day.
Try not only seek.com.au - get to the corporate websites and look for openings. This is the path I took. ๐
