@huggybear and @just_g29: ako almost a year na dito and just recently got an odd jod at casual pa. Super disappointing and frustrating ung feeling. Mahina rin kasi ang loob ko walk in pero it works esp odd jobs. Nagtry ako dati magwalk in sa mga factory and luckily nakapagwork ako dun pero one week lng ako pinapasok. Suwerte din I got this job now kasi may nagrefer sa akin.. Referral talaga is the best kaya need talaga madaming network.

Im currently doing a Diploma course online. Pero sabi ng marami Age Care daw ung pinakamaganda kasi maraming need at mabilis lang matapos. Im still on a temporary resident visa kaya costly pa sa akin mag aral, kaya tiis tiis lng.

Hello po mga kababayan. Ask ko lang po kung meron dito nasa accounting profession? hingi po ako ng advice. We (me and my wife) arrived last September here in Queensland from middle east pro until now trying po ako maghanap ng work kahit entry level. Puro rejections ang narereceive ko sa mga recruiters. Pa help naman po.

@pitongoros hi..accountant din ako from ME pero 2nd week of May pa kami punta sa Perth...may mga interviews ka na ba, ano ba mga na experience mo sa job hunting? Try mo mag attend ng mga volunteer jobs kse considered nila yun as local experience...sana makahanap na kau ng work..never give up kaya nyo yan...

@athenalady14 Hello! Ask ko lang pla ano ung diploma course mo? how much? ang study now pay later nila dito for AU citizens lang. ang Business Administration course nasa 1,300 AUD

@huggybearvet fee help (study now pay later) is for australian citizens and humanitarian visa holder. Permanent residents may avail of the NSW Smart and skilled. I don't know with other states. The discount that you can get depends on your circumstance.

@huggybear: Im taking online Double Diploma on Human Resource and Management. ble installment ung sa akin. Im paying $190/month for 12 months. Ung school ko kasi regardless anung visa mo same price lng. Payment varies depending on the terms of payment but its not that big ang difference naman. Ang mga Certificate courses mga almost yan ang fee. If you go onlne kasi medyo makamura ka compare sa campus based and others offer flexible payment terms.

hi @athenalady14, anong provisional visa meron ka? i am also on a provisional visa 489. true enough, mahal ng cost ng tuition fee. i came here dec 24 and by feb nakakuha ako ng odd job but i have decided as well to enrol in aged care. perl ditto lang sa mandurah kasi regional visa kami. any mahal din so bra. buti magfit in sa schedule ng work shifts ko.

by the way, interested din ako sa online courses, which school did you enrol and which course? pwede ba yan even if nasa mandurah kami? thanks.

@jvframos: it is located in melbourne but since online xa kahit saan ka puede ka naman. the courses are focused sa mga leadership, project mgt, business and hr courses. just check it out. but ung age care magandang course din yan. sure job xa at least. visa 496 ako..un ung dating 489 visa. 🙂

@binkyrikay: ung course is 6 mons -1 year depending on your phase. unfortunately with me, august ako nag enrol e until now unit 2 plng ako..7 more units to come..so goodluck to me..haha..un lang ang disadvantage ng online, you need a lot of motivation and focus kasi minsan nakakatamad din. haha..but depende din yan sa learning style mo.. yes.good idea yan. iba kasi talaga if may australian recognized education pra kahit papanu e competitive tayo..

@athenalady14 thanks sis :-). nasa 4th week na kami ng class sa aged care. next week may job placement kami ng 2 weeks then classroom ulet. bale 18 weeks etong course ko. hopefully after the training may maghire saki :-)

Hello mga kabayan! Nakkibasa ako dito simula nung dumating ako nitong May 10. Share ko lang din kasi nainspire din ako sa kwento ng iba dito. Sana mkainspire din ako. Nagsimula ako magsend send ng resume sa seek nung May 12. Nagsearch ako sa role na may kinalaman sa IT Sales. Un ung mga sinendan ko. Pinpili ko ung direct, hindi recruitment firm. 1 week nakalipas, saka ako nakatanggap ng confirmation na nareceive nila resume ko. Meron din akong mga emails na narereject ako. Di daw fit ung skills ko sa hinahanap nila. Wag tayo panghinaan ng loob kapag nakakatanggap tayo ng ganitong emails. Kasama talaga yan. Ngayon, job offer na ung isa pero hinhintay ko pa ung isa na kumkontak pa sa mga references ko. Aware naman sila na may pending application ako sa iba. Tips base sa dalawang interviews ko. Parehas tinanong kung pano magcope sa pressure. Tsaka ung weakness ko. At syempre ung previous work experiences. God bless us all and happy weekend!
