@filipinacpa I would take the IELTS first if I were you...that exam alone is a huge stumbling block for some...so you can strategise your options once you have that completed hehe

Just make sure that all your important job scope is highlighted in your COE and this is in accordance to the description set about for accountant general (221111) - meanwhile, yeah, focus on your IELTS... mahirap makakuha ng 8 in all subjects, my wife tried 3'x but never succeeded.

Question, i'm currently here in the ielts orientation ng niners, and nabanggit ng lecturer na 8 ang required score for an immigrant visa.

Ganun na po ba talaga kataas for visa 189? Kala ko 7 ang min score for visa 189. Can someone please clarify this? Thanks!!

Nominated occupation ko po will also be general accountant.

7 in each band to get 10 pts

8 in each band to get the max 20 pts

wala pa naman pong changes sa EOI point system..

Not true nga sila...

If they implement 8 scores in all subjects, I doubt if we will get as many visa approval as we have seen in this forum... 🙂

6 is all subject is doable - just practice, practice, practice...

7 in all subjects is mejo mahirap na - again practice, practice, practice...

8 in all subjects take a lot of concentration talaga - MORE PRACTICE, PRACTICE and PRACTICE!!

@filipinacpa, ma'am here's my unsolicited advice.

As the other forum members suggested, focus on your IELTS first since this will make or break your application. For the next few weeks, live and breath English.

Given your age and education (and granted there will only be slight changes in the immigration rules), you can easily meet the points requirement notwithstanding your work experience. Consider the following: Age (25 poins); IELTS (20 points {granted 8 each}); and Education (15 points). You can also apply for State Sponsorship (5 points) or Regional Sponsorship (10 points) to increase your points for a higher chance of being invited.

P.S. - for IELTS academic writing, answer the second question first (this has a higher weighted value than the first question). Also, understand that this is essay writing and there's no right or wrong answer. It may serve you well if your answer to the question is on the negative as you might have more reasons why it is so, even if your values or personal belief is on the positive. Finally, practice using wider vocabulary as this may help impress the examiner if you know how to use the words and if you use it well {confessions of an IELTS academic writing victim}.

@LokiJr - take note that accountant kasi si @filipinacpa - she needs at least 7 in all subjects...

The reason why she needs an 8 is for her to qualify for a visa; I think she is just 22yrs old and been working for around 3yrs pa lang. Without an 8, baka mahirapan sya ma-invite due to insufficient points.

Kung naka 1 year kana sa internal audit pwede internal audit skillset/pathway ang kunin mo like me. Advantage is hindi CPAA/ICAA/IPA mag assess sayo kundi Vetassess. General Training lang ang IELTS na need mo tapos pwede ka magpaassess agad kahit walang IELTS. Baka mas madali maka 8 pag GT kesa Academic. Pero yun is kung gusto mo Internal Audit sa Oz =). Pero baka pwede din external audit or Accountant kasi magkamag-anak naman sila haha

@vhoythoy - actually sir, it will not matter kung anong nominated occupation mo with what job you can apply for when you are in australia... take your case for instance, you took the internal audit pathway sa Vetassess, pwede ka pa rin magtrabaho as external auditor, accountant or even professional clown... 🙂

I find enjoyment din naman sa pag-rereview for IELTS. Matagal ko na rin kasi gusto ma-enhance talaga yung skills ko on how to use the english language. 😛 so, this is it! excited ako. 🙂 Yung about sa score, siguro nga mahirap makuha kaya kelangan paghirapan, pero syempre naniniwala pa rin ako walang imposible. 😃 Optimistic lang. Hehe. 🙂

Pwede ka mag process ng visa through internal audit pathway sa Vetassess then pag may visa ka na mag apply either Accountant, Internal audit or External audit pagdating mo sa Australia. Not sure lng about sa invitation rate or success rate sa visa application ng internal audit skillset pathway pero malamang parehas lang yan tsaka mas konti lang din ang alam ko na nag apply through IA skillset sa DIAC karamihan accountant talaga. Possible yung 8 band sa Academic IELTS pero mas mukhang achievable sa General Training. Up to you

Nice, apply na. Alam ko New Zealand yata parang required nabasa ko yata dati. Check which options is easier for your case and go for it. Goodluck =)
