Sharing our tipid budget (couple, no kids)
Rent: 200pw per couple (1 room in a 2br flat in southwest NSW, 30-40 mins to the city by train. We share this with 1 pinay)
Groceries: 80pw per couple (I bring baon to the office, my breakfast at work is free, my bf meanwhile has free lunch)
Utilities: so far 40 per couple (for about 45 days of stay) pa lang binayaran namin for electricity, so di ko pa sure yung budget dito. May gas at water pa.
Transpo: 40pw per person (5 days working- train and bus, saturdays for errands and taking advantage of the sunday 2.6 flat fee to go around sydney ๐
Phone: 7pw per person (bought the Vodafone $2 prepaid sim, recharged 20 fgood for 1 yr and weekly add-on recharge of 7 for 4gb data weekly. I rarely use call and texts so this works for me)
No car as we find public transpo quite convenient pa naman. Our place is a 7min walk to the station. Home wifi is included in our rent.
We do buy some stuff for our place but when we moved in our flatmate has everything furnished so we don't really have to buy a lot.
We normally spend 20-50 every Sunday for food when we go out ๐ our suburb has really nice cheap restaurants- meals for 10 for example.
This is our starter budget. Maybe makatulong sa mga newly arrived singles/couples like us ๐
