Last minute update of new passport details through immigration (home affairs)

Hi good morning everyone, just want to ask for a personal opinion / advice on anyone or someone who encounter the same situation that im currently facing. Any advice you can provide will be much appreciated.

So the situation is that im currently on 3 week holiday sa pinas on a PR visa and i just had my passport renewed 2 weeks ago and will not be released until april 2 which is 2 days before my return flight to austra lia. I booked for a passport renewal appointment months ago thinking that i could get the passport renewed within a week (via express service) but Didnt anticipate that express passport renewal will take longer to process on a holy week period. Althoug my current passport is still valid (no punch holes) my worry is that updating the immigration online of my new passport details might take more than 2 days so im not sure if i should consider rebooking my flight assuming i get the new passport on the release date. Thank you in advance.

I don't think you will have a problem with the old passport flying back to oz since it is still valid. you can change your details once you have arrived here. Otherwise, ask DFA para ma double check lang.

you should worry tho if ma release ba ang passport before your flight. Good luck and safe flight back.

Thanks for the reply. I got my new passport already. And made a request to update my passport details linked to my pr visa through form 949. But as of writing vevo is not yet updated. Im quite concerned that it wont get updated in time for my flight (tommorow). Will i still be allowed to board the plane if that will be the case? Thanks

@mtenchavez yes, it takes 14 working days to process the request. have you asked DFA if null and void na ba sa system ang old passport mo? probably just fly and take both passports para walang sabit. Good luck, and let us know how it went.
