TasBurrfoot Calling all Bank Employees - dito tayo! I have been working in the bank for almost 8 years; my first 3 yrs was in a big local banks while I spent more than 4 yrs working for a big British bank based in Singapore. Hopefully I can still be able to snag a banking job when we move to Melbourne in April but then again I am open to do something new (and maybe even do part-time work and part-time studies to gain both experience and local qualification) - beggars can't be choosers you know! π

Now in Telco, but first love ko talaga banking π . I too am hoping to snag a job in the banking industry pag nakamove sa AU eventually. π
TasBurrfoot Lahat ng bank employees here are in IT pala... π Anyone here doing actual operations work for a bank?
MclarenF1 I'm a relationship manager and branch manager for the past seven years first with an American bank then with a local bank. I decided to apply for immigration for the future of my 2 yr old daughter and having lived in Australia in the past.

Lucas03 Hi to all! Recently joined this group and been reading a lot of threads. Baka ma-advise niyo lang po kami. Wifey and I are looking at working/living in australia. She is a RN here in PH while i currently work in a local bank. What will be the best way for us to get permanent residency in Aus? Salamat po!
LokiJr @Lucas03, ano po specialty niyo sir? May kaibigan kasi ako from treasury, naka kuha ng employer sponsorship sa Sydney...Kung accountant kayo (or management accountant), puwede kayo mag-apply ng visa yung Independent Skilled..kung hindi...hmm..parang ako, State Sponsorship ang target
Lucas03 @LokiJr more on corporate banking ako pero i also have exposure on most departments in banking. Ano po ung State Sponsorship? May plano po kami na magstudent visa. Ako applicant then si wifey dependent. Magvocational course ako on finance or business then magbridging si wifey. Possible kaya un sir? Sorry po madami tanong! Salamat π
icebreaker1928 @Lucas03 sir better read booklet 6...most of your doubts will be answered... http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/1119.pdf you can go straight as a skilled migrant... bakit ka pag magstudent? napakamahal ng tuition.
