it will affect your IED-initial entry date.

Police clearance and medical exam are valid for 1 year..

example:

kmuha ka ng NBI clearance Jan 2013 (so ang validity nyan as per DIAC will be until Dec 2013)..
nag lodge ka ng visa at naapproved Nov 2013...
so ang magiging entry date requirement mo will be Dec 2013 (dahil sa expiration ng NBI mo).. you will only have 1 month to prepare...

@lock_code2004 I see. Are dependents like the spouse also required of the NBI Clearance? Or the main applicant only?

@Gretch - all 16 yrs old (or 18?) and above who are included in the application..

Hi all, just a quick question. I've worked for 2 companies already:

a water utilities company (1y,8mo)
a distinguished fastfood chain (1y,7mo and counting)

I'm an Industrial Engineering graduate from what I assume is a section 1 school based from the comments here. The water utilities job was more of management work while the fastfood one focuses on process improvement (IE-related). My question is, would the experience in the water utilities company, NOT be counted towards the related work experience? I am asking so that I would have a general idea on when to start an application. Thank you very much and God bless to all!

been working in Singapore with Employment pass for more almost 3 years
B.S. Information Technology grad with 9 years of IT Experience (IT helpdesk)
been to Sydney, Australia last September for 1 week as tourist visa
My relatives ( auntie,cousins, etc ) are living in Prestons, and they are willing to sponsor our place
Same course and IT experience with wifey. Should we apply on different visa or can I make her as my dependent?
Currently reviewing on IELTS

@justdoit316 - hindi po ako ang admin lol.. pa-bida lang ako..

if you can find your occupation in SOL/CSOL, then you can proceed..
kung IT helpdesk, i think the most relevant code is IT customer suppoert officer in CSOL, which will require state sponsorship
seach for states na available pa ang occupation code na yan (like ACT)
you can apply both for skills assessment and use it for additional points (partner's skills +5pts)
i suggest, estimate nyo, who can get a higher EOI points (age, ielts, work exp), should be the primary applicant , and then the other one will be the dependent and of course you can add the partner's skills +5pts

google the ANZSCO job description/definition of IE..

if you can compare your job/tasks sa official definition ng IE,

they will assess based on your job description..

question, what is your job title sa 1st company?

btw, im an IE too..

@lock_code2004 My job title for the 1st company was Territory Manager. For the 2nd one, it's Restaurant Systems Specialist. Worry ko lang is that baka hindi ma-assess yung 1st job as related to IE.

not really IE job title.. but other specializations.. like quality, planning, supply chain, process improvement.. etc..

depende sa skills mo kung anung experience mo at kung anung kaya mong gawin...

im in manufacturing/quality.. goodluck..

www.immi.gov.au > skillselect > then navigate to one of the visa types and then click SOL or CSOL
you can get the ANZSCO code for each occupation in that list.. (something like ANZSCO 233511 for industrial engineer).. so make sure to browse the list because there might be several occupations related to your current skills/work experience..
then google that " ANZSCO 233511" and you will be able to see the official job description as per AU/NZ standard..
