if you are going to apply for work (employer sponsored visa), mas may chance ang care giver kung may work exp kana..

pero if you are going to apply on your own (for a skilled visa), you wont be able to apply (at this time), because care giver is not in the list of in demand occupation..

for some, they go to australia to study (like aged care or enrolled nursing).. and then look for employers who want/can sponsor them.. but going on a student visa is very expensive...

Hello, I hope someone can enlighten me kasi my initial plan is to study in AU kaso due to conflict in providing proof of funds, I am having second thoughts... Currently 5 years na ako sa work ko as Supervisor more on the administrative side and work ko... Pwede kaya ako mag pa assess ng skills ko and if ever positive ang result ano naman next na gagawin...? TIA!

Help please. I tried to go thru the whole thread to see a similar case, medyo malayo na ko wala pa ko naencounter so if my question had been asked before im sorry and thanks in advance for the reply.

Planning to get 190/489 visa in WA. Gets ko na process ng application kaso nacoconfuse ako sa assessment. Im going to nominate hr advisor (csol&wasmol) I have more than 5 yrs exp on this. But my qualification is computer science from dlsu. So if I do my assessment from vetassess for the hr advisor, will my qualification not be counted sa eoi or sa assessment din?

Nalilito talaga ako. I would appreciate all your help and advise. Thanks.

@j0wnaGurl - your assessment result will tell you that..you submit all you documents (coe, jd, tor, diploma), and they will tell you:

a) if you skills/work exp are aligned to the nominated occupation

b) if your educational qualification can be claimed as equivalent to an AU bachelor degree or AU diploma level..

so i suggest, you read application details/requirements from vetassess' website..

If I understand it correctly if I decide to go for my qualification (will look for an occupation in sol/csol) to be assessed then my experience will not be counted.

Are they particular if you have any past experience from your nominated skill? What if I dont need the points for the experience do you thinks it's a good idea to go for an occupation in sol related to my qualification rather than my experience. And have that one assessed instead?

Im having second thoughts sa hr advisor because it is always in schedule 2. The addtl reqt is very difficult to meet.

I want to make sure which is better na maipaassess because it is time consuming and expensive.

As what you've told me before, I will wait for july 1 baka may changes but I would like to explore my options now para makapag start agad.

@j0wnaGurl your case is tricky... because your current work exp is not related to your degree...

but i would say, pag vetassess may consideration naman sila..

normally kasi, skills assessment is for your skills/work exp 5 years before your application/assessment date.. so mas importante to pursue your assessment based on your most recent skills..

also, sa vetassess, may minimum requirements of years of work experience depende sa occupation, depende kung related ang degree sa occupation...etc..etc..

so you need to understand those things..

if you have other work experience ( but not related to your nominated occupation - hr advisor), you dont need to include that in your assessment..

if you have work exp na related sa degree mo, but 5 years ago pa, and you want to nominate this occupation, hindi ka rin pwde i-assess, because they will only provide assessment of skills based on the latest 5 yrs before application date..

if you dont need points for the work exp, pwde din naman.. as long as you have total points of 60 for the EOI..

Tricky is the right word @lock_code2004.

In my case, either qualification or experience ang hahabulin ko. If ever ba I would like to try for both ang ififile ko sa vetassess would be yung full skills assessment with points test advice? 1 employment lang naman ipapasa ko so that's it di ba? No need for the add ons?

Also has anybody here tried nominating a skill in sched 2? Do you have an idea what happened with their application?

hello there.

i deeply seek for guidance on how to apply in au, just want to start a new career and lifestyle (likely to stay in au as permanent). with my husband ( no kids yet).

im currently working in dammam for almost 6 years. im a RN but not working in a hospital or dispensary. im working in a dermatology clinic.

can you guys, help me out, figure how and what to do??? do i have to hunt jobs first in bank job? do i have to take ielts first? i want to go to australia after my contract here in KSA, still have 16 months here coz i have to wait for my husband to finish his contract.

info: zero activities in any processing. no assessment had been done. just browsing and reading forums.

kindly guide and enlighten us on how to do the process and which is first step, step by step.

@andreilopez84, I think some (if not most) of your questions can be answered by looking at the start of this thread, especially if you are aiming for a permanent visa. Once you get acquainted with the points scheme, you will know where you stand. 🙂

@andreilopez84, you're welcome. Ganyan din po ako nung nagstart ako, nahirapan makasunod sa acronyms at shortened words. Soon enough you'll get the hang of it.

If you can start with gathering of basic documents while learning the ropes mas maganda. Kung may tanong ka magpost ka lang, maraming tutulong sayo dito. 🙂

@andreilopez84 Pag binasa nyo ang mga thread sa forum na to, makakatipid kayo sa agent fee and matutupad nyo ang Oz dream. Before po ako naging active dito sa forum, more than 3 months kung binasa ang mga discussion dito, so many learnings! God bless po sa application.

@johnvangie agree. ako rin panay basa sa forum nung una dko alam mga acronyms na ginagamit. pero may isang acronym ako na til now dko alam meaning, ung PPC? hehe.

Hi guys!

I had taken my IELTS exam and I got 6.5 band score (min score is 6). Ang target ko sana is 7 to gain extra 10 points kase 55 points lang ako currently. Would it be ok to submit my assessment sa EA (for Industrial Engineer qualification)? I consulted an agency at ang sabi nila ok lang daw to proceed with the assessment, kase sa 2nd stage (DIAC) pa ung points system, thus while waiting for the result from EA magretake muna ako ng IELTS.

Would appreciate if you can advise me on this.

</blockquote> yes advisable na magsubmit ka muna ng application mo sa EA since nameet mo namn ung required score na min. of 6 to avoid delays. then while waiting ka ng result ng EA e pwede ka nmn magretake anytime, walang issue dun.
