Hello. New in this forum. Got questions po. I am a medical technologist here. Ngayon sponsor po ako ng aunt ko as student sa Sydney because this is the fastest way to go there. My plan is go there as a student, then pa assess ko skills ko while studying (AIMS for medical technologist) and kung positive ang assessment, pwede po ba ako mg apply via skillselect (either employer or state sponsored) kahit hindi pa tapos studies ko as long as I reach 60 pts? Yun kase plan ko para kahit hindi ko na tapusin studies ko pwede na makuha yung family ko. And pwede ko ba i claim ng points yung one year ko studies kahit hindi ko pa nakuha ang degree?

@ten2six - yes that is a feasible plan.. if you satisfy the 60pts pass mark, then you can apply for EOI..

the study requiremett is for 2 years, therefore you cannot claim if you only studied for 1 yr.

Follow up question po. If ever an employer will sponsor you, you don't have to reach the 60 pts mark right?

yes.. employer sponsored visas are not point-based visas...

@lock_code2004 sir ako po nkakuha nang sponsor they launched my nomanation jan its there first time to sponsor immi said 5to7months for nomanation aproval0🙂 tagal hnty

Hello guys,

My occupation is listed under CSOL Sched 2 but I have no sponsor.. (regional/state or relative). Should the EOI come first before I get the needed sponsorship? I'm at a lost since most of the threads I see are about occupations listed under SOL. Can someone please help?

submit your EOI, select visa 190 (SS) or Visa 489((Regional Temp), I think you need to select the state as well (please verify)
then visit the website of the different states/region immigration website to see which state/region can sponsor you based on your occupation.. check the SNOL- State Nomination Occupation List
submit SS application to the state.. they will require your EOI reference number.
once your SS application is approved, they will send invititation to apply for your visa (via EOI/Skillselect)..

Apparently I need to have a skills assessment and IELTS rating first before submitting the EOI. I got the following error:

"The EOI for this subclass will not be considered for an invitation at this time, because according to the client's claims:

The client does not have a skills assessment

The client's English language ability is below the level needed for this visa subclass".

Can anyone please tell me where to have my occupation (financial adviser) assessed?

My occupation is under the NSW SSOL. Is this their skills assessment website? http://www.skillsrecognition.nsw.gov.au/

btw, the assessing body for your skills/education is not the state..

you can see the assessing body on the SOL document.

Bago lang din ako on this thread. Ask ko lang sana my chances of getting a job sa Oz. I am an ECE graduate, currently working in Singapore as Test Engineering Specialist. My work experience is on the Manufacturing/Semiconductor industries. Any advise which part in Australia I should plan of going? I am eyeing Australia now , kasi ang hirap na makakuha na PR sa SG. @lock_code2004 hi! Nagse-search ako ng assessing authority for accountant. CPA po ako. Ngaun pa lang ako mag start ng application. Kaya nagbabasa pa ko ng articles on subclass 189. I came upon a site showing list per SOL sched 1. May nakalagay beside sa assessing authorities na "NOT AVAILABLE". Ano po kaya ibig sabihin nito? Btw, i learned a lot from this forum 🙂 thank u

may occupational limit ang bawat occupation.. pag na reach na ang limit, they will not issue visa invitiation to apply... fortunately that limit will be refreshed every Jul 1st..
i dont think Accountant's limit is already reached. always check the DIAC site for the most updated info/list...
check http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/ > Reports tab > Occupation Limit
i can see that Accountant limit is 10,440 for the year (until June 30, 2013), and visa application sent is only 4561...
you might be looking at an OLD list, or a List for a certain State Sponsorship..

@lock_code2004 another thing sir, kailangan kong kontakin ang mga assessing authorities under accountant to know the requirements di ba po? Or can i just send them my requirements? Ito po ang 1st step na ginawa ko after reading the different forums here 😉 im waiting sa replies ng mga assessing authorities re their requirements... tama po ba ang ginawa ko?

@breadnbutter - you dont need to contact them.. you can just go to their website..

read their procedure..
complete their requirements...
then apply..

a good start is check which state offers sponsorship for your nominated occupation...
and/or look at job sites.. like seek.com.au.. check jobs offered in each state..
