Hi Everyone,

       Ask ko lng if madami bang caregiver, PCA work dyan? For my husband pag nagmigrate kami dyan next year. Secondary ko kasi sya eh. Nurse sya sa pinas, tpos may 4 years experience ng Caregiving sa Los angeles. Magagamit nya kaya mga experience nya as caregiver sa australia. thanks again

yeah marami didto pero hindi ko lang alam if tatangapin ba nila ang experience sa US kasi dito they will just accept or recognize ang system nila sa education sa health like if grad ka ng nursing tapos may experience ka pero dnhi ka grumaduate dito sa austrailia they won't accept you as nurse but they can accept you as PCA but still they will require you to take the accreditation for certificate Level II, III or IV for aged care.

Caregiving is for like yung high school grad or drop out but ayaw na mag university or continue high school. Take lng sila ng certificate course so pwdi na silang caregiver.

Or yung mga older adults na walang degrees but nag take ng certificate in age care... Weeks lng kasi yan eh. Or nursing students as their part time job.

Di naman recognized profession ang caregiving..though mahirap din trabaho nila. By this i mean wala sa shortage or skills lists. Its like being a kitchen aide or technical aide yung taga linis ng instruments, wait staff or other blue collar work. Certificate lng of training to get that job so walang professional body kasi short course lng sya unlike a white collar job that requires a university degree.

so by just having a caregiver certificate is not enough qualification to migrate to Australia. Basically, they need other mean to migrate like having family sponsorship or nominate other skills kung meron sila iba other thatn caregiving. tama po ba?

Yup, check the immigration website caregiving will not be in any nominated skill. So if it is not on the list then it means you cant get sponsorship for it in any state.

But saying that lets say you have an i.t. Or other profession sponsorship already so you already have a visa then you cant find work with your degree but you were able to get a caregiving job. So ok pa din to

work as caregiver diba while looking for your real line of work.

The catch is if you came on a work visa and not a p.r. Visa cause you are not in your line of work you will have a hard time getting residency.

Yan lang problem with that kasi its not a nominated skill. But otherwise still good pay naman and its a decent job but eventually you or your spouse must have a job that is in line with your degree/ nominated skill.

I have a mate who is in Sydney as a secondary while the wife is working as an accountant for a super fund...

He is doing this as part-time whilst doing his certificate 4 in accountancy - wonder how much you mean by good pay for this...

Gotta thing of lots of alternative plans yah know... eheheh!! 🙂

Still minimum wage.. If single ka then its ok. If couple kayo and 1 has a white collar job then ok pa din. But if you depend on it lang then the partner no job or same job plus with kids... It wont do.

Our aide is pinay like a caregiver but since icu mo pt. care just equipment cleaning, she works 2 jobs and hubby is a post driver. Ok lng for them kasi they have been here for 25 plus years so the mortgage is almost paid off.. The kids finished na ng uni. But she told me before when the kids were all in school sila both couple double job.

Accountants if CPA in australian meaning degree is from here talaga.. Pay is good almost 70- 80 plus thou a year same with us in allied health eg nurses. Pt. ot etc.

Doctors are still paid highest with a start pay of 80-100 thou a year. Starting pay pa lang yan,, no penal rates pa and ot.. Which most doctors do.

Nah, seek.com is not very reflective of actual figures. Too many variables kasi, like years of experience, level of expertise, local experience, etc. In essence, whatever job meron tayo ngayon will all count towards local experience and puhunan natin yun for the future. 🙂

Hello need pa po kumuha ng Certificate 111 for aged care dito, ndi po valid d2 ang Caregiver sa ibang bansa..pde po kau mag-aral d2 fast tract 3weeks lecture 2 weeks training sa nursing home then after po NG training nio pde na kau mag-apply sa nursing home na pinagtrainingan nio depende po sa manager kung may vacant sila or nagustuhan kau...thank u & God Bless 🙂

@fhengay89 ibig sbhn ba nun ng ssponsor ng work permit ung employer para sa grad ng aged course? kc balak ko sana un dn kunin ko kaya lng bka mahabng proseso para ma sponsoran ka mag aaral ka ng ibang cors pg malapit na mapaso stud vis. tama po ba? salamat 🙂

I dont think there are employers who will sponsor for an aged care certificate... Kasi they can only sponsor for jobs that are on the skills list.

Also backread sa thread... People have been saying you cant apply for a visa using caregiving as a profession kasi wala po sa skills list ng immigration. Hence, walang employer pwding mag sponsor. Only jobs on the immigration list na may shortage pwdi mag sponsor ang employer.

So why and how will they be able to sponsor someone for said certificate course when hindi nila maipasa visa pa lng with immigration kasi hind listed as a skill shortage ang caregivers/PCA?

Only way is to get a visa on your own. What fheng is saying.. There are nursing homes offering the course which you pay for personally and if there are job vacancy after your training they will be able to hire you if wala naman at least you have a certificate sa age care.

@li_i_ren sa tingin nio po b anung course maganda for stud vis. d kc ko pasok sa aphra 6.5 lng ielts ko 🙂 plan ko kc july intake ng aged care pero kung ganun lng d pauulit ulit lng ako mg stud visa matagal na proseso. anu po b ang magandang cors ung medyo mura lng leading para masponsoran (d po RN sa ngaun kc ayoko muna mg ielts ulit 🙂 ) salamat po!

I dont know but im a r.n. here.. Imagine if caregiver ka nasa 30k annually maybe if full time. But if r.n. ka starting is 60k to 75k annually.

And just because of ielts.. You wont go for it?

Then if you study here.. You will be spending money instead of earning money in a course you are not sure there are job hiring,
