hi goodmorning! just want to ask for your tips in applying for a PR in AU. I worked kasi in a bank sa Manila and sa Middle East. I'm a graduate of accountancy but i did not practice being an accountant sa previous jobs ko. So what I’m planning sana is to work also in a bank in AU and I think I have to do it but applying for a PR first. Kasi i heard it is much better daw kung yun ang kunin ko kesa mag apply for an employee sponsored visa. But i do not know how and where to start. 🙂 I hope you could give me some advise and tips. Thank you!

@jeffjohn27 Hi, first you need to check if your occupation is in the Skilled Occupation List (SOL)

Then find EOI Calculators for Australia websites to check if you can reach 65 points minimum, i.e. https://www.acacia-au.com/smpt.php

If you do, you can start checking out Skills Assessment bodies to for employment points assessment.

@jeffjohn27 Once you identify your occupation you can check if your tasks at work are aligned with the expected tasks for that occupation here http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/Latestproducts/1220.0Search02013 Version 1.2

Hi @heero_yuy51 ! what if my previous occupation/job is not in SOL, would there be still a chance?

@jeffjohn27 if that’s the occupation you will be using for application then no chance for subclass 189,190. You can always find sponsorships from Australia companies as an alternative.
