I also passed my driving test the first time! Akala ko failed ako kasi medyo alanganin yung ibang liko ko dahil may kotse na padating and I did it twice. Pero sabi nung Officer minor lang naman daw yun kaya minus points lang. Pinadaan nya din ako dun sa area na yun and tama ka that's a 40 km/h zone. May mga area din na nagadjust ako sa 40 km/h kasi school hour yung test ko..

Thanks @mykdspyk! malapit lang pala kayo samin. Sa may Arncliffe naman kami a few minutes walk from the station. Nga pala matagal ka na ba dito sa OZ? May nabasa kasi ko sa ibang post mo na nakabili ka na dati ng car then may bago ka ng sasakyan ngayun. Bakit ngayun ka lang nagdriving test?

Yeah matagal na ko dito, 3 years+.. I entered AU year 2010 naka 457 visa ako. Then after 2+ years I applied for PR. I am already driving here before using my PH license, allowed naman kasi since temporary resident lang ako nun. Nung ma grant PR then saka ko pina convert sa NSW license yung PH license ko. 🙂

Ah ok Sir! PR na po pala kayo ngayun? Galing.. Kung di po masamang magtanong san po kayo nagwowork? Baka pwede nyo kong kunin driver??.. 🙁 Naghahanap pa din kasi ko ng work and nirequire ako nung isang company na inaaplyan ko na magfull license bago magproceed sa next hiring process nila..

Thanks @faye! Nag 2 hours lesson ako dun sa isang instructor na nirefer sakin pero di ko nagustuhan yung turo nya, kaya naghanap ako ng iba. Nakita ko sa net yung 1st class driving school, may package sila na 5 hours and yun ang kinuha ko. And dahil wala akong car na gagamitin sa test, kumuha ko ng 3 hours package.

@mykdspk Sir PR visa din ako, pero ang main applicant is my wifey. Nag aaply ako as Telecoms/fiber designer o kaya electrical designer kasi sa design halos yung experience ko. Pero wala pa ding mahanap na work, kaya pinag iisipan ko kung magtake ako ng CCNA exams para makalipat sa Networking. Ngayun naghahanap muna din ko ng kahit anong part time job para naman may panggastos sa araw araw.

1.Pass the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) - get your learner licence.

3.Pass the Driving Test - progress to a Provisional Licence - stage 1 (P1 licence).

4.Hold your P1 licence for a minimum of 12 months.

5.Pass the Hazard Perception Test - progress to Provisional Licence - stage 2 (P2 licence).

6.Hold your P2 licence for a minimum of 24 months.

7.Pass the Driver Qualification Test (DQT) - progress to a full licence.

thanks for the info..after reading the link, the way I understand is like this: if you're holder of P1 or P2 you can drive even without accompanied by an an australian full license holder, and the only difference is speed limit of 90 and 100kph? and if you're 25 years old or older, you will proceed to P1 right away without needing to pass the Learners?

hope someone could enlighten more..

@ozzieness, tama ka dun sa difference between restriction.

Ang pagkakaalam ko, even if your more than 25 years old, you will still need to take the DKT exam to have a learner license. After passing the DKT exam, pwede ka ng magtake ng driving test to have a P1 license. Kung meron kang PH license (more than 3 years), at naipasa mo yung driving test, full license agad yung ibibigay sayo.

Pero kung below 25 years old ka, required yung 120 hours supervised driving at after 12 months ka pa pwedeng magtake ng driving exam. Yung step sa post ko is para dun sa walang driver license sa pinas.

what if you're 25 years old and you have a less than 3 years DL sa atin and you passed the DKT, P1 ba? and if you have P1, wala bang minimum time requirement na holder ka ng P1 before applying for P2? di ko kasi mahanap ang sagot..

another thing is, wala naman ata pinagkaiba ang P1, P2 at full license in terms of driving within the city except for car restrictions, plate, alcohol and speed limit. so whether you are holder either of the three, you can still drive. please correct me if I am wrong..

Sa tingin ko kung 25 years old ka na, with more than 12 months but less than 3 years yung license mo sa pinas, bibigyan ka nila ng P2 License. Pero yung sa tanung mo (what if you're 25 years old and you have a less than 3 years DL sa atin and you passed the DKT, P1 ba?) when you passed the DKT (driver knowledge test - computer based), Learner License pa lang muna. Kailangan mo yung learner license para makakakuha ka ng Actual Driving Test, and sa sitwasyon mo, pag naipasa mo yun actual driving test, P2 ang bibigay sayo.

P1- less than 12 months

P2- more than 12 months but less than 3 years

Full - more than 3 years

Sa P1 specified kung auto or manual lang ang pwede mong idrive (base dun sa ginamit mo sa actual driving test). Bukod dun, yung mga sinabi mo lang ang pinagkaiba nya.

another question: do I need a professional license so I would not need to go through P1 & P2 or non-pro is just fine..I just heard from a friend please confirm, anyone please?

A professional license is not required to skip P1 & P2. Kailangan lang at least 3 years old na yong license mo, pro or non pro.

Hi mga sir. Padating kami ng wife ko sa sydney this april 20. Ask ko lang kung paano malalaman ng nsw na more than 3 yrs na ang Phil license mo eh wala namam nakadulas sa card? Kailangan ko pa ba ng certification sa lto? Kakarenew ko lang kasi mg license last yr so matagal pa expiry. Baka isipin ng msw rta eh bago lang ako nagka license. Thanks and hear from you guys soon

There is no tips nor tricks , just practice and practice until you are very comfortable with it maski saan ka idaan ng nag papa driving exam sa iyo e makukuha mo 🙂
