Job hunting after grant - accounting/external audit

I would like to share my job hunting journey after the grant, like days after the grant (Applying overseas). Also I need tips for those who are in NT already or anyone in Australia that can share tips specially related to accounting or external audit job.

So before the grant, I have spare time to research and prepared my CV. Also I keep the contact persons to whom I inquired previously while I was applying for state sponsorship. Right after the grant I send e mails and updated my seek account.

As usual my seek application was seen mode. They send email once employer viewed your application but no further communication. There is this recruitment expert agency whom I e mailed directly but got a rejection e mail saying the most popular reason of rejection, I don't have local experience. Its really true that sometimes it can affect self esteem with this type of reasoning. I hated that guy for a moment. But I moved on and told myself he is just doing his job, nothing personal.

Congrats ulit. Based sa mga experience ng mga kakilala ko. If one position opens sa isang company, minsan 5 makikita mo na post galing sa different headhunter or agency, pero ang totoo isa lang sya. Minsan kase mas maganda kung mahanap natin yung company na nag hahanp mismo ng position para direct na sa kanila instead na sa mga headhunter. Eto ang masakit, minsan kase, hawak natin yung qualification na hinahanap ng employer at fit for the job, pero ni rereject agad tyo ng mga headhunter. Yung kakilala ko kase, rumekta sa company, kaya na interview agad at swerte nakuha yung job. Pero nag apply din sya dun sa mga headhunter na nag rerepresent sa company, at hindi nakakatanggap ng kahit anong response, kung mag respond naman, ang tagal. Share lang naman to. Hehehe anyway. @Heprex thanks and welcome too. Actually totoo. nakita ko sa adzuna ba yun same post iba iba agency. Tpos nakita ko yung posting ng company. Inapply ko lahat pati yung sa agency. buti pa sa company nag feedback agad. May dalawa ako interview schedule, after sa rejection e mail. hehe! hope it will work out.

Thanks guys. I am very lucky actually to be part of one of the big 4. Our Darwin office has no audit department but they are helping me thru referral to other auditing company in Darwin. I got 2 interview scheduled sa ibang big 4.

Its my 3rd day in Darwin today. I got interview yesterday and got job offer today.

Updating my thread. I resigned from my first employer after 6 months. I found a better opportunity.
